The worst thing about Super Double Dragon is that (IIRC) the publisher rushed it out the door, and used smaller cart space than the developers intended. They had a handful of several ideas that they were supposed to put in the game, but they got the axe thanks to time/space constraints. I think there was an interview at the Double Dragon Dojo about it with one of the developers. The Japanese version is a bit more complete with the extended final stage and all, but still not the same as what they intended (same thing happened with DD Advance, which turned out to be an excellent game, but had a lot of stuff dropped for the same reasons).

I also wished they could've had better character design and more environmental hazards to spice up the stages a bit, then it could've been fun.

Yeah, a shame really.  I think the game would've been much more fun if there were more hazards to dodge and push enemies into.  At least maybe some more pits so I can use the throw counter to send enemies to their doom  :D

In addition to Lords of Shadow 1, I've been jumping into NecroVision (Vampires! in World War 1!), replaying SiN, playing the original Half-Life for the first time, and hitting up Life is Strange, Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy, and Knights of the Old Republic all for the first time.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

Has anyone played Dreamfall Chapters? I'm thinking of getting it but not sure how good it would be against the original game, although it looks visually more appealing.

Been playing an unhealthy amount of Complex Doom Invasion...
Backlog tackled Hell Yeah!, It's really fun.... if you dig using the claw.
Shantae 1/2 Hero is on hiatus, half-way? through but nothing substantial to keep me invested :/
Decided to boot up Lost Planet in such a long time, it has actually aged pretty well graphically, controls are kinda meh.
Anima Gate of Memories, pretty well MMO-esque DMC style game, but for a unity game it runs really well.
For the love of Sentai I'll eventually get back to Chroma Squad.

Meanwhile, I've been searching inward to find what gives me joy in life, I feel like I'm getting close... but I dunno.

I'm finally giving Dragon Age II a try-out. Pretty easy to get into since it's engine is similar to Inquisition. Much easier to get into then trying out Dragon Age: Origins. I'm enjoying it well enough too. The combat's a lot more faster then in Inquisition, and I seem to be doing more damage to enemies as well. Overall it's a good game and I just might see this one through as I kinda stopped playing Origins some time ago. Never did get far into it either  :-\

Beaten the original Gothic. Decided to go back to Skyrim SE and finally finish the last expansion.

Still playing the hell out of Wolfenstein - The Old Blood. I really didn't like the challenge maps at first, since they feel like a subpar attempt at RE4 Mercenaries Mode, but I'm loving them now. It can be a bit cryptic to find out how to maximize enemy spawns sometimes - like in the Caves, where grabbing the turret and approaching the exit switch both spawn more enemies - but it's fun once you get the hang of it.

Going for the platinum in this one, just like with The New Order. Got all collectibles and Nightmare levels on Death Incarnate, so now I'll go back to Uber mode and play through it without worrying about having to collect anything. Still like The New Order more than this game, but it's not too far behind.

The only gripe I have with this game is the Quick Turn perk you get after killing 50 enemies from cover. It enables you to do a 180-degree turn by clicking on the left thumbstick, so it's very useful if you want to die in a quick and confusing manner. I can't count how many "oh shit!" moments I've had where I need to back up from enemies in a hurry (while still shooting at them), and I accidentally click the thumbstick while I'm pulling back to get away. The only thing you can do to avoid death at that point is run like hell and pray that you don't get chopped down by gunfire. But hey, I guess it makes tense gun battles even more tense! Or something. (And no, there's no way to turn it off, sadly)

Once more playing Fallout New Vegas (the regular game). I own both the regular game and the re-released ultimate edition. However after play NV:UE I was disappointed with the constant threat of the assassin squads that appear to hound you for ever twenty to thirty minutes at a time. And to top things off you waste lots of precious resources just to survive because they are stupid-tough. I guess Bethesda thought it would be a good idea to make such a change in the game. No Bethesda, no it wasn't a good idea. Despite not having any of the DLC the regular game is far more enjoyable to me. Sometimes less is more and Bethesda proved that with their error.

I kind of want to start playing Nioh but I'm still waiting to see if it's actually a decent game or just another meme.

Are you talking about the Legion assassins? Those guys were seriously annoying...if they spawned at even half the rate, they wouldn't be so bad. At least they seem to become a joke after a while, but it still sucks getting sidetracked from progress nonetheless.

Do they still spawn after you kill Caesar? I can't remember. I just remember one mission where I had to go meet Caesar, so I went there, killed him and then everyone else (well, okay, except for their slaves). That was hard as hell for me...lots of reloads on that one.

If you like Souls, you'll probably like it. A mate of mine is a huge souls buff and he thinks Nioh is the bee's knees.

I never did get this far yet. I have a habbit of restarting my games for some silly reason  :P  All I know is that in NV: UE, when I slaughtered the legion at Nipton I was vilified by them and since that point onward, I kept on encountering assassin squads like they were coming off of an assembly line. It was stupid! At least in the regular game of NV I don't have that worry. I did encounter an assassin squad but they were nowhere near as strong as they were in NV: UE, so I just wiped the floor with them and moved on. That's how it should have been in the other version hey Bethesda?

The PS1 version of Real Bout Garou Densetsu (Real Bout Fatal Fury). This port is about 85% of original arcade quality which is good, but missed one thing: The Shadow's Japanese voice in Geese Howard's mirror battle with his Shadow. The Shadow is mentally unstable and I think he wants to create another chaos in South Town.
