This is a guide on how to buy the Pachislot app. It's very easy, and it should be a perfectly safe method. Not to mention, you're also supporting Konami in case you care about that.

First of all you need an android device with version 2.3.3 or higher or an iOS device with at least version 5.0. Otherwise you won't be able to run the app.

1) Download the "Tigervpns Android VPN" app from the playstore.

2) Choose the free trial option. You should be able to choose from a list of countries. Choose Japan. This will give you a Japanese IP. You need this to access the app in the playstore.

3) Go to settings, applications, playstore, and then choose to clear the cache.

4) Acces the playstore. You need to verify the terms of service again.

5) Exit the playstore. Shut down the VPN app. Make sure you disconnect.

6) Again acces the playstore. Copy and paste "パチスロ 悪魔城ドラキュラ" in the search box. You should be able to see the app now.

7) You can pay with either a credit card or PayPal. You should be able to pay safely since you're not using a proxy anymore. The price of the app is 1667 yen.

It might take a while to download. On my device it took around 2 hours, but that might just because mine is very slow. I tested the game and it works perfectly.

So when is Part IV coming out?

And what kind of skimpy heroine design will it use next?

This is interesting! Could I please have your permission to translate it into Chinese and post it to a Chinese Castlevania forum (of course with credits given)?

Do you have iOS instructions for this?

I'm trying but I can't get it to work.

Try following these steps (you can not pay with a credit card this way so you have to use something different like PayPal):

1.Tap iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store.
2.At the bottom of the Featured page, tap Sign In.
If you're already signed in, skip to step 5.
3.Tap Use Existing Apple ID.
4.Enter your Apple ID and password. Tap OK.
5.Tap your Apple ID.
6.Tap View Apple ID or View Account.
7.Tap Country/Region.
8.Tap Change Country or Region.
9.Tap your new country. (Japan)
10.Tap Next.
11.Review the Terms and Conditions and Apple Privacy Policy.
12.Tap Agree if you agree to the terms and conditions.
13.In the prompt that appears, tap Agree.
14.Select a payment method and enter your payment information. (From another FAQ: "The trick part of this is when you have a credit card associated to your Apple ID. If you have no credit cards selected or added, the None option is readily available and you can breeze through the process without a problem. But if you have added a credit card and the None option doesn’t show up, you will need to add a valid credit card whose address matches the country you have selected.")
15.Enter your billing address and tap Next.

Afterwards follow step 6 from my own guide.

Thanks I'll give this a try!

It won't work if you have any season passes active or if you have a balance left in your wallet.  Or at least that's what it said for me.  :P. Let me know if there is a way around it!

Okay what the hell am I doing wrong

A couple hours ago I got this to work perfectly. I turned on the TigerVPNS thing with a Japan proxy, cleared the Play Store cache, and got through to the Japanese version of Google Play on my first try. I bookmarked the Pachidrac download on my wishlist. I was able to see the yen price and I was one screen away from downloading it.

Now I can't get back to it. No matter how many times I try to use TigerVPNs, and no matter how many times I re-clear my Play cache, it only loads the English version of Google Play (just reeeeeally slowly, so I can tell it's using the Japan proxy) and when I go to my wishlist it just says "This cannot be downloaded in your country."

edit: I should also add when I tried it the first time and turned off the proxy, I could still access the Japanese site on my own connection. Now I can't even get that far WITH the proxy.

Try finding a cracked APK and sideload it?
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

I can't guarantee this will work, but you can try two different things. Remove the TigerVPNs app and reinstall it, then see if it works. You could also try using another free app which lets you use a proxy. There are actually quite a lot of them.

I suppose it's worth asking, how much memory would this game eat up if I were to play it on my Galaxy 4? I can play most games for a while, but 3D games generally wind up causing my phone to start heating up after about 15 minutes (though I imagine most, if not all, of the 3D graphics in this are actually movie files).

Well, I could go check if you really must know, but I think you probably won't be playing this more than 15 minutes at a time. You can save and pickup in the middle of a game, too.
