Hi everyone!
I figured I would share some of my rock music with you guys. This is a song I wrote with my friend Ryan Harding. Ryan is the drummer for a popular band called Local H! They are very good!
Anyways, this song is called Opening the Eyes. I made this song a while ago. Over a year before I started working on the LC2 soundtrack.
I might release more later!

Pretty cool, dood. Are you by chance a fan of Cave In? I haven't listened to those dudes in forever, but I got kind of a Cave In vibe from this song.
-
Sounds good dude! If you ever want to do some collab work let me know! I can hear some leads in my head that could scream in that tune lol
-
Thanks guys!
I've never heard Cave In.. I'll check it out.
Abnormal Freak you should come to a show next time my brothers band plays or something! They are good!
Since I became a parent I made the decision not to be in band because I want to be home for my kid. Making music for video games works way better for my lifestyle now. When my daughter gets a little older I might consider starting something up again. Really it's just the being away from home to rehearse for live shows thing that I don't have time for.
But yeah War Machine I'm down for collaborating!
I have about 7 songs from this collection. I'll post the others soon.

Um...yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Used to lead a fun bossa nova band in Seattle, and having a kid certainly does change everything...at least if you want to do a good job of being a parent, I mean. Band life, rehearsals, drafting arrangements, getting the right music for all the other players, etc, sure sucks up a lot of time.
As for the music itself, I still see a bit of your (pre) LC2 style in it, especially in the beginning, before the vocals enter. That part could easily fill in as some of the BGM

That you singing, bub?
Dig the hell out of it.

Nice work. The more mellow parts give me a Stabbing Westward vibe.
PS: Never knew your initials were JM, something we share in common.

Thanks! I was a big Stabbing Westward fan when I was a teenager! I really liked the Wither Blister Burn and Peal album. They were one of my first live concerts too!

I have a newfound online respect for you dude. I have to admit I'm a fan of Stabbing Westward for 1 reason... "Save Yourself".
As badly as it gets reviewed I liked the Tekken anime and that song was my favourite part of it :)

I uploaded another track!
I actually used the opening melody from this song in the final scene of Lecarde Chronicles 2.
It's a more chilled out track than the last one.
I hope you guys enjoy it!
