Picking the best of the Belmonts

I could use the advice of some fellow CV fans in regards to an idea I have, but I don't want to say much because...well, I don't.  It's nothing personal, but I just have reasons for now.  I'll tell all later.

For now though, who do you think are the greatest of the Belmonts?  If I were to include them in this project, but were limited to 5, or *maaaybe* 7, who should I pick?

There were the 5 picked for the "Greatest Five" in PoR (Richter, Leon, Trevor, Juste, Simon).  Would you just go with those?  Would you pick a different 5?  If I could do 7, who would you pick for the other 2?

Richter and Julius are probably the greatest. But that also might be due to development of the games and the more they can put with in them.

So speaking of Belmont (well not really but kind of) I saw Kingsmen 2 and it had some good whip action and all I could think about was the Belmonts

Richter is probably one of the worst Belmonts alongside Soleil, like, being captured and influenced by Dracula is totally super lame.

Leon, Trevor, Christopher, Simon and Julius should be the greatest.

About Juste, even if I really like him, he never faced Dracula itself unlike their ancestors, so I guess we can't tell or measure his real might.

Yeah, no. Richter was influenced because Shaft's spirit entered his body directly after the fight with Dracula ended, with Richter emerging victorious. There's another example of a legendary Belmont being affected directly after the Dracula battle.. Simon. Dracula put a curse on him and on the land of Wallachia before he died. Trevor also got stabbed from behind by Isaac, who was far less powerful than Dracula. The Belmonts aren't impervious to damage or influence, they're still human.

I'd say Leon is the the most iconic Belmont. He struck the killing blow on his betrothed, used that same whip to kill a very powerful vampire and vanquished Death - 400 years before any of his descendants did anything remarkable.

I feel the greatest of the Belmonts existed before IGA took over the series.

Trevor Belmont

Christopher Belmont

Simon Belmont

The greatest are:
Leon - started the legacy, defeated many different powerful demons and monsters, a powerful master vampire and Death, all before his lineage got superhuman abilities in themselves
Ralph/Trevor - First person to ever defeat Dracula, the Demon King. He recruited poweful allies and always kept a watchful eye on the powers of Darkness.
Julius - The man who defeated Dracula for good and stated to be *the* most powerful Vampire Hunter, even in advanced age.

The rest, while certainly all impressive and badass, didn't go above and beyond like those three, in my opinion.
"It's not that I don't love to run into the heart of danger... Actually, that's exactly it."
"Individualism is a path fraught with obstacles, and sometimes angry mobs, but for all its hardships it is the only one worth taking."

Simon. Dracula put a curse on him and on the land of Wallachia before he died.
Trevor also got stabbed from behind by Isaac, who was far less powerful than Dracula.

With Alucard and Maria's help, totally uncool
And he got rid of it alone, a curse from Dracula itself, no one doubts about Simon being the flagship Belmont
You said it, stabbed, just a flesh wound and a plot device, so whatever

Stabbed, unable to assist Hector, and mortally wounded according to Julia.
A plot device, as if anything that happens in CV (including Sotn) is not a plot device to showcase gameplay..

One (1) cutscene doesn't turns Trevor into a jobber, less if he has two boss battles in the same game.

Wasn't there like a George Belmont?  He was an actor playing his ancestor Simon I believe in some ridiculous tie in material from the 80s.
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13104670/1/Castlevania-Birth-of-the-Dragon

Dracula was not always a monster. He was once a man named Mathias Cronqvist. A flawed, conflicted, genius of a man. How did the educated, aristocratic, crusader who piously served the church become a vampire, and eventually the Dark Lord himself, the opposing force to God? From a very young age terrors and tragedy shaped the man into the king of all evil. This is his story.

Yeah I'll have to go with Christopher, Simon , Trevor, Leon & Julius.
Personally I think that Julius is the best of them all. he was just sooooo cool, shame we never got 1999 as a game.

Richter is probably one of the worst Belmonts alongside Soleil, like, being captured and influenced by Dracula is totally super
Its funny cos my sis and I where just talking about this, and about how some say he gave up the whip out of shame, its an interesting  idea, I still like the breaking the "blood Pact" idea I spoke of. better

Wonder if IGA will ever give us a real reason... no
