Just so many things you can imagine......

Quote
...There're more mysterious things lied in the whip weapon. When the whip was equipped by the glitched Alucard with Soma mode/forced to be equipped by Alucard in the actual Julius mode, there's a rather strange diagonally swing which can be activated like that of Alucard Sword's diagonally attack (It's currently unknown why the situation happens; In most cases, it was possibly an unused variant of whip attack (diagonally attack) due to it was separated to the ordinary whip swing; Or perhaps it was the finish pose of whip swing which was meant to be part of Julius's normal attack, but they later changed to let the whip immediately pulled back to Julius' pocket)

Dunno why such a variant exists in the first place  :P
If the tech that change Soma to Alucard hasn't been developed, we'll never know such a fact  :-X (Costume Cheat in Action Replay thingy =/= Character change tech)

It whips brokenly because you intentionally did something which broke the game.

Harry Potter doesn't visit the Death Star and wonder why his wand doesn't work against Iron Man. The fact is you're using a character you shouldn't be in a mode in which he doesn't belong with a weapon he was never supposed to use! Can you name anything about this formula you actually expected to WORK right?
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

OK perhaps you're on the right side for such normally-unseen situations...
Actually I thought about the possibility that they would have dropped some of their original plan stuff on purpose
If not for that, we can't even explain the mostly-finished-but-not item description in JP version
