I found these scans while I was looking for something else. Info on the then title Castlevania 5 or X 2.

The first scan seems to say that CV5 would be developed for 2 systems, one might be N64DD.

The next scan shows a difference in the Castle Entrance level. Frozen shades are there.

I ain't as sure about the differences here. I know the Frozen Sprites arent supposed to be there. That Spell might be different? I didn't do the two sword spell for a while.

4 characters
In the game, you can chose one of four characters, including a whip-snapping vampire hunter who may just happen to be a member of the Belmont clan. Another playable character is Alucard. He is Dracula's son who first made an appearence in the classic Nintendo Entertainment System game, Castlevania III. There's also a sword-slinging bounty hunter and a peasent girl, all out to shed some of Dracula's blood and rid Castlevania of his reign of terror forever.

I forget where but I know these scans are already on a major CV website. Don't remember if it's the Dungeon itself or the CV Realm.

Most likely Mr. P's Castlevania Realm. That site's got almost everything.

I couldn't find anything at either site. These scans are from November-December 1996 issue of EGM.

Two of these scans are present on the Castlevania Dungeon:

I remember some people theorizing that the "fourth" character was the rival (a Richter edit who wears red and is blonde), and that the Bloodletting was nothing more than SotN's early ideas.

I know that Bloodletting was moved to PS1 and Saturn from 32X, so I assume it's the same game. I didn't see the info for the four characters posted anywhere tho. Someone needs to add that to either cv wiki or wikipedia.

Also, what about that pic of Alucard doing a spell with two swords showing. Is that unused?

No. That's the Shield Rod + Iron Shield special move combo.
