Decent collection...but no Chrono kills it for me

I also wish that these systems would upscale resolution similar to what the best emus can make things look like. Zelda and Mario World for example hold up very well in this light, as an example

I'm buying 2 for sure.

I love my NES classic.

And star fox 2 is a huge plus.

Star Fox 2 makes this a must-have; this may be the only official release. The first one and Yoshi's Island are also great to see, as they've never been released on Virtual Console. (The bastardized GBA version of the latter doesn't count.) And two SNES-style Classic Controllers? Sign me up.

...Just please let me be able to get one this time.

Pretty sure I want it, but I think they could stand to add a few more games to it.  Chrono Trigger at the very least, but I think Secret of Evermore would be worth adding as well.

I don't think that's their fault.
Since it's releasing exact versions of the original carts, it would be FFIII.
That, and SquareEnix is probably not thinking of patching the SNES ROM title screen to say IV or VI.  Because, y'know, they don't give a shit if it's not the Tablet version.

None of those games are Jim Power.  0/10 no headache-inducing parallax.

(yes, I know the list is a joke)
Really though, I would get the SNES mini for Star Fox 2 and some other games that I don't own yet, such as Super Metroid, LttP, Yoshi's Island, Super Ghouls n Ghosts.

Doesn't mean I have to agree with it.

They had a valid excuse in 1994 when II, III, and V never had Western releases. This is no longer the case.

And I can't chalk it up to "hur hur westerners r dumb plebs and wouldn't know the difference", because if that were the case they'd rerelease Mystic Quest on it instead.

This, like the NES Classic, is honestly little more than a glorified emulator. With that being the case, just go grab one of the many patched ROMs that make no changes to anything except correcting localization mishaps like that and be done with it. It's not a difficult thing to correct by any stretch of the imagination, and the reason they had for it 23 years ago is no longer valid, so I have no reason to believe the continuation of the localization screwup is anything more than laziness.
