I'm not insulting you in anyway, so please do calm down. But like I said, gave the impression that you can actually play as (or like) Alucard. So that left some people disappointed. Not that I don't appreciate the effort, but it's just not an enjoyable hack for me. Judging from other people's reactions on youtube, many consider the work laughable at best. Like I said, if the animations were actualy made more complete such as the dashing and jumping, then I might like it more.

I cannot see your PM's, and it's odd that not many posted positive comments on youtube (but supposedly did in the PM's for god know's what reason), as well as the low rating, so I assumed many fans were bashing the work. So sorry if that is not the case, and that I was mislead in everything I read and saw people posting of their reactions there. Because frankly, a good number of them just mock it.
i'm perfectly calm and i know i can't expect everyone to like this mod so wutever.
but the only guys that i've seen give negative comments or you and the Osaka guy so i can' understand were your getting the "many" consider it laughable at best.
it seems your just trying to be a jerk so i'll just end the conversation and i'm sorry you don't like it.

Let's face it: DP is not receptive to constructive critique.  Would you pass this comment on to your partner?  I keep getting errors each time I try to submit it.

Hey, CoolStark.

The best thing to do would be to wait for the Next-Gen Alucard game to actually come out with more pictures, then you'll get the best idea of how your hero should actually look.

As far as the video itself, it could do with a much nicer title card.  The choice of music doesn't really help much, either.  There's all this rockin' going on that isn't reflected in what I'm seeing.  Next time, try cutting some action-packed highlights in time to the music.

It might also help to unlock your forum and not spam about it so much.  I wouldn't want to bother with another registration just for something like this.

Thanks.

...I wonder if the CVIV Simon and Chibi-Richter hacks of HoD were ever finished...

but its NOT CoolStark's Forum its mine ;)
i say haveing to join the forum hardly is hard so how is it to much to ask to just take 1 minute and join and download and leave?
if you honestly don't think its worth it then fine you don't have to play it.
sorry you honestly dislike this mod so much :-\
and i'm fine with "constuctive" criticism were your actually trying to be nice and in a nice way make usefull suggestions but criticism were your generaly TRYING to be mean i'm not because its just rude.

Hello! I have updated my CVHoD hack, I have removed Juste and Maxim's black outlines and changed the castle B Sky Walkway colors.

EDIT: fixed a few palettes and changed the CV1 Simon into CV2 Simon.

This Alucard hack looks interesting but my only complaint is that the sprite still looks like Juste and he still moves in that cumbersome way. If I were you DarkPrinceAlucard, I'd redo the entire Juste spritesheet so as to smoothen out all the well-known rough stuff and see how it goes from there. When it comes to doing hacks you should go all out of your way to impress even if knowbody feels impressed. Besides, it'll show IGA's team how a character sprite should be done.

I really enjoyed that harmony hack you made Pemburu Vampir. In fact it's way mor professional then what IGA's team had done. Iwas actually engaged in playing the game rather then feeling bored of it. If you wanted to, do you think you could fix up Juste's sprite so that he's not so choppy as we courrently see him? I do find his movements way too stiff in animation and it would work very well to 'soften' him up somewhat. But this is a good hack! My hat's off to you for reading my thoughts on this game without me telling you!  :D

Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you like it. As for Juste's sprite, i'm afraid i can't do anything about it since i don't have any skills in making sprite.

Asking for more fluid animation is easier said than done. It's a much harder thing to improve animation or +/- frames unless you have an intimate knowledge of the language the game is compiled into.

That said, I do have a suggestion, Pemburu. Have you considered trying to use the DoS Alucard sprite in HoD?
The games are set up similarly and that sprite might just fit into Juste's with minimal editing needed.

no sadly those sprites are to big trust me i tried ALL versions of Alucards sprites and none of them were the right size.
the Dawn of Sorrow sprite is the same sprite used in symphony and thus its going to be the same size and to big
if you don't beleive me then your more then welcome to try but you've been warned ;D

If you can provide a sheet with the exact dimensions used in HoD, I can try to adapt the Alucard sprite and redraw any parts that are necessary. Care to collaborate? ^_^
