Title: Boondocks: Greatest show of our time?
Post by: The Last Belmont on January 01, 2009, 04:49:09 PM
This here yall is a thread dedicated to the bangin' CN show the boondocks.

Here's a picture

(https://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ftbn0.google.com%2Fimages%3Fq%3Dtbn%3Aj3GYRCXu6x3YxM%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Finversehiphop.files.wordpress.com%2F2007%2F12%2Fboondocks.jpg&hash=be7c54a26a63a053c22ebbe7e6fc5eab)

What yall think of the new season? I think it's one of the funniest seasons of any comedy I've ever watched. I laughed out loud so many times it ain't even funny and it takes alot to make me laugh. I have a hard time laughin' at most of the funny movies that my homies recommend. But dis show right here is genius.

Boondocks is pretty good, but it's no Venture Bros!

Uncle Ruckus is the man!

I agree with beanburrito-hakase. The Boondocks is *prty* gewd, but not THAT gewd.

Tops "Venture Bros," "Robot Chicken," AND "Aquateen Hunger Force." Why? Because the series has yet to have a bad episode. I can not even begin to imagine what Aaron McGruder has in store for our future president! To those who have been able to partake in the show's goodness, I believe I speak for all of us when I say... "WHA'S GOOD, N'YIGGAHH!! WHA'S REALLY GOOD!!"

Venture Bros doesn't have any bad episode!

Besides Venture is better anyways cause it has Henchmen 21 and 24( :'( ) and Col. Gentleman!

Very socially smart, and powerful comedy.

Reily's such an ass  ;D

I haven't seen much of second season tho cuz they moved it's day.

Probably the best program on Adult Swim by miles. Especially when you compare it to retarded drivel like Matalocalypse or bonafide ADD like Tim & Eric. Or whatever the fuck's on. I haven't watched it in a while.

That is true. The "Tim and Eric Show" or whatever just *sucks.*

There have been a few adventures here and there which just don't elicit a chuckle from me, or maybe there's a bit too much shit to get through before a really good visual sight gag or joke emerges. - Hey, I'm a modern woman. I demand instant satisfaction, you know?

One question if someone can answer it.

Why the hell does Adult Swim show Morel Orel?

Got me, probably just a temporary thing. they showed Peewee's playhouse for awhile too, didn't last.

I remember back in the day when Adult Swim was basically Toonami on massive downers.

Yeah back in the good ole days when it would come on saturday nights and had alot more variety. CN has all this great anime in their vault but all they show is inuyasha, constantly. Hell I'd love to see some uncut DBZ on their from the new boxsets that would kick ass.

If I'm not mistaken, Moral Orel is on its last season.

Also Tim and Eric is gewd; John C. Reiley's Dr. Steve Brule and Cinco commercials FTW :3

I like most Adult Swim comedy shows, actually.

Tim and Eric isn't gewd, it's shtupid.

I'll stick to watching Boomerang for my cartoon fix.

AS's anime isn't going anywhere, since all thry're showing now (That's even remotely new) are Code Geass and Moribito, both of which have somehow hit the Reruns despite not finishing their initial runs. Everything else in AS's action block are reruns of older Anime they aired before.

As for the Comedy blocks, 12 oz. Mouse and the other shitfests are too painful to put up with, though Metalocalypse, Venture Bros. and Boondocks are always good (Metalocalypse actually has some great gags, you just need Closed Captions on 90% of the time to understand what was said that's the problem.)

Yeah I agree they need to bring that on again. We need some Big O reruns!

Yeah Tim and Erics not terrible John C Reiley/ Steve Brule is amazing and whoever Jeff Goldblum is on that show also rocks.

And Metalocalypse is also a great show. I like the majority of the comedy on AS

Big O reruns do air, or at least you can watch them on AS On Demand, if you get On Demand...

I can understand the Metalocalypse guys, but when they sing, I might as well throw a lyrics sheet through Babelfish.

That's probably on purpose. You ever listened to a real metal song? Real metal music is just like that, where you better have the lyrics sheet on hand to understand what they're singing.

If I want DEATH metal, I'll listen to that. Actually, I won't, I'll just skip the bullshit and listen to Cannibal Corpse. If I want Real Metal, I'll listen to sabbath. GIVE ME RIFFS OR GIVE ME DEATH!

I agree, if I can't make out any words, don't care what genre the song is it's shit.

Vocals aren't the only thing that make up music. There's other aspects that surround much of the Metal Genre than just voices, growling or no growling, mainly the instrumentation.

They're adding King of the Hill and The PJs to the [ADULT SWIM] lineup.

I for one welcome KotH, but... PJs? I can't remember that show being worth my time, but who knows I could give it another chance I guess.

I can't imagine the PJ's will last too long.

I don't really understand their choice in KotH, I'm not really a fan, but it doesn't bother me too much, maybe I'll learn to enjoy it

sweet love king of the hill, now I can hopefully see the eps in order. Hate jumping seasons like fox loved to do.

Agreed, they are the 90's. I would love to see B&B on regular tv again. Have to rely on my dvd collections and they only include the ones mike liked. Missin' a third of the series.
