I'm not sure if this was brought up before. But I was unable to register for the site, because every time I tried, it said that my IP address was spam.

I have never had this happen to me before. I even registered to another forum that uses the same "engine" or simple machines, whatever its called, and i haven't had a problem.

I had to use my phone to register on the forums.

This is because this site has been attacked by spambots before.
It is likely that you live or your ISP was once subject to an infestation of spambots, and is blacklisted by this forum or by the plug-in used to stop the spammers.

The solution you did is usually the better one:  Find another way to register, with another provider, such as a phone.

Not sure where to put this, so ill drop it here. I JUST received the email notifications for some PM's... That I had gotten as far back as December and November. Doesn't matter, those PM's are old news, but DAMN, that's some slowpoke notification system...

I don't know, but for some reason, every time i close the browser and open it again and open the forum, even though i have set to stay always logged in, it wont keep me logged in.

Quite a large number of links to music or video files bring me to the IGN "file not found" page.

For instance, on the page http://www.castlevaniadungeon.net/Media/rips.html the first link (http://dl.fileplanet.com/dl/dl.asp?classicgaming/castlevania/mp3/rips/vkiller/1-vkiller-prologue.mp3)  results in a "file not found" page. (I didn't check any further links on the page. Incidentally, I am redirected to http://www.fileplanet.com/dl/dl.asp?classicgaming/castlevania/mp3/rips/vkiller/1-vkiller-prologue.mp3 )
