Title: Castlevania: Tears of Pain (Prototype)
Post by: Lelygax on February 21, 2016, 10:32:34 PM
Some must remember that Fawzi Allouache was creating a fangame based on 1999 and released this video in 2014:

The thing is: 3 months ago he posted a download link for its prototype on his video
comments, that can be downloaded HERE (https://mega.nz/#!b1UQwCpC!VPVEH-GTmb-EkLP6wvThibCnV4MFy2pxxv4dc7sxTxw).

Found a secret: Press F1 while playing to understand better his engine. (not so secret since its written on screen, I need new glasses, woops.)

Sadly it runs a little slow here, strangely audio and animations runs smoothly as butter, but Julius and enemies move slow and some other bugs happens because of that (Holy Cross should make him float a little, but in my case it touches the sky, I can only see his legs after he reaches the maximum point lol)

Plays and looks pretty good. Only immediate problem I see is you can't back dash down slopes. The character moves so fast that it thinks he's falling, which causes him to suddenly lose all of his momentum. Should be an easy enough fix though, if the dev happens to see this post.

Since it is built in Fusion, if he is using the PMO object it is an easy fix. Like, stupidly easy.
