My nineties anime list (including the year 2000 since that was pretty much 1999 The Remake) was pretty much the following:
+Sailor Moon
+Ronin Warriors
+Pokemon
+Gundam Wing
+Dragon Ball Z (neither Dragon Ball nor GT had been released in America yet)
+Random episodes of literally anything anime I could scrape up on mid to late nineties internet
Remember when Toonami had that "Midnight Run" that promised "GUNDAM WING, UNCUT"? I remember staying up waaay late to see how that was different enough to warrant calling attention to this separate release that was so edgy it had to be banished to late night TV, and then was major bummed to find out it was pretty much the exact same show, just with a little extra blood and cussin'.
And later on my Dad didn't like all this "Japanimation" I was watching so he disabled Cartoon Network on our cable box and locked the settings on the episode RIGHT BEFORE GUNDAM EPYON WAS REVEALED. I ended up missing the rest of Gundam Wing's original American broadcast thanks to that, and I didn't get to see the rest of the series until years later when a friend of mine who had the DVD box set marathoned the damn thing with me. It also caused me to miss huge chunks of everything else on Toonami, which was basically the only TV I watched around that time.
The dawn of the twenty first century was a dark time for my anime habits.
