Paavo has shoved this thread down to the bottom. >:O
I've been watching a lot of movies this past week. Caught up on a lot I've been meaning to see, like Taxi Driver and Hard-Boiled. Speaking of Taxi Driver, I saw this movie called Hardcore, which was written and directed by the writer of Taxi Driver, and it rocks, so hard. George C. Scott is ultra-badass in it. It's basically about a Christian dude whose daughter goes missing, and he finds out she's entered the world of porno, and during his search for her, he becomes slowly and slowly more aggressive and eventually starts beating the shit out of low-lifes to get his answers.
I watched this two-part TV movie called Uno bianca (White Uno). It's a three-and-a-half-hour detective story/crimer thriller directed by Michele Soavi, the director of Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man), Deliria (Stage Fright), and La Chiesa (The Church), the only other movies of his I've seen. It was really good, I dug it a lot. :o Another one of his movies, St. Francis, will be coming in the mail from Netflix either tomorrow or Friday. My free trial's almost up and that makes me sad. :( But once it's done with, I'm signing up for GreenCine.com to get my horror and independent movie fix.
Also watched the spaghetti western Django, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I hope Takashi Miike's version, Sukiyaki Western: Django, gets a US release soon, either in theaters or DVD.
