Was pretty excited to take a look at this, but it does not appear to run. Has anybody been able to get it working?

EDIT:
Disregard. Got it working. Moo, this tool is amazing. The potential it has for collecting resources from the DS Castlevania games is.. honestly something I had never expected to see. Wonderful resource, thank you for letting us know this thing exists.  ;D

It doesn't work on my Windows 7 laptop...Is it only compatible with Windows 10?

Here's a link to the creators Github:
https://github.com/LagoLunatic/DSVEdit/releases

Download the "DSVania Editor Full" build.

I'm not exaggerating, this is probably the best thing to happen to the Castlevania fan community in years.

Cool stuff, definitely going to get into this once I finish up with my current Dawn of Symphony hack, may even go back and edit my Alucard mode Hack for Dawn of Sorrow with this editor to make it more unique given that now text editing is available and I can make a proper Alucard mode story for it.

So, I received the word of this ealier today.

This won't run on my Win7 :'(

Though I did manage to run it on another machine. Boy, this thing is FANTASTIC, to say the least. I can't wait to see what people will come up with.

Also, have you seen how many unused glyph slots does Shanoa have? I wonder if, in the future, someone will be able to create new things in there.

FINALLY got it to work. The file path must be English in order to access it.

Oh. And Vampire Killer text among other equip menu text strings. In Ecclessia.  And it's a separate value. Great.

Sounds interesting. There aren't many good ecclesia sprite rips as of yet. I think most of the stuff was in a million pieces which makes it really hard to use unless you want to spend forever piecing all the frames together which I do not. I wonder if this could help fill out some of that stuff. There was also a huge lack of tiles and backgrounds from that game which I would bet this could easily handle getting. Looks like I might have to check it out when I get some time.

The DSVania Editor makes ripping tiles and sprites insanely easy. The tool compiles all of the pieces used for sprites and animations and displays the in-game result.
I don't think ripping assets from the DS Castlevania games has ever been easier, there's so much content here I'm still trying to figure out how to best make use of all of it.

That is amazing. If it can do that I am pretty excited then because until now we couldn't really access much ecclesia content so maybe now we can play around with all the stuff from that one.

It seems like you can only get so far most of the time with a general purpose set of tools when it comes to ripping graphics some times you can pull everything fine and other times you can barely get anywhere it really takes a set of tools specific to the game when that happens I think. I bet it took a lot of work to figure everything out when making this one but I am damn happy someone took the time to do it.

Did Someone say ripping assets were insanely easy?
I put my projects on hiatus simply because I needed resources that required extensive work in the old-school method.

Right now it can only show sprites. Editing may be added later.

Sorry for the necrobump folks but i just found out about this awesome program!  Does anyone know how to export the background images?

@MooMilk: DSVania_Editor 1.4+ has the ability to export sprites.

@BMC_War Machine: The easiest method for me is to use the "Open in Tiled" option on the room that has the backgrounds you want.
the backgrounds are made from tiles as well but they are on their own layer, so exporting them from there is quite easy.
