I remember for a while that was the #1 or #2 search result on youtube for "Castlevania"
While we're posting classics everyone remember this one? Re: CASTLEVANIA 2: SIMON's QUEST by the Angry Nintendo Nerd I was always surprised that guy never got bigger in the whole "internet reviewer" scene after this.

That was a pretty sweet response review. Watched some of his other stuff and found them enjoyable. Thanks for sharing!

AVGN is pretty darn "big", I'd say... He even just recently finished filming an Angry Videogame Nerd movie.

You've probably been following his Youtube, not his website, cinemassacre.com
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

You missed the "Re:" and didn't follow the link I take it? Lol, that's not the AVGN, but a response video to his Simon's Quest review he got years ago.

Gotta love when there is some Castlevania64/Legacy of Darkness love around. :D

Agreed. :)

Here's another old but amusing Castlevania related video I just remembered, though it requires a small bit of explanation. Retsupurae is where two guys from Something Awful* make fun of bad Let's Plays by talking over them MST3K style.
They've also made fun of some terrible reviews which were made in the 1990s by George Wood for local TV and posted to youtube by Navgtr.
Wood's review of SOTN, in which he gives the controls a "C" (notice that he gives Tomb Raider 2's controls an A) and says there's "Nothing to set it apart from previous Dracula outings" is among the reviews Retsupurae'd.

George Wood also said that Goldeneye was terrible. But he's probably most remembered for his Laura Croft game idea.
Profanity warning
Great Video Game Idea!
Symphony of the Night was disappointingly enjoyable
*Including Slowbeef, who is credited with making the first video with "Let's Play" in the name. Though probably not the first "Let's Play" style video. "Let's Play" had previously been the name used on Something Awful for pictorial walkthroughs.

I think those two had a hell of a time making fun of the dude who didn't know what he was reviewing.  :)

How its a new concept if they did it since the beggining?
Is there any accuracy needed when it comes to fiction?
The 2600 got me started, the NES turned me into a junky, the SNES impaled me with it's awesomeness, The N64, and Dreamcast kept me going, The Gamecube and XBOX were worthy successors, I'm currently doing 360's!

No, however some accuracy is good to a certain degree, but definately doesn't have to be 100% (for instance, people saying Dracula absolutely MUST be the Vlad III from the history books )

The only thing that can be historically accurate about a fictional idea is that the idea was acknowledged as being fiction.
The 2600 got me started, the NES turned me into a junky, the SNES impaled me with it's awesomeness, The N64, and Dreamcast kept me going, The Gamecube and XBOX were worthy successors, I'm currently doing 360's!
