Wow, those designs are so awesome. Alucard looks gangster, Sypha majestic, Grant crazy, and Trevor all heroic like. Death is also awesome, like the souls and skullhead scythe design. I hope he will do more...would be awesome to see Simon and Richter. Can't wait for Drac and Cornell.

Yeeessssssss! GI Joe Origins had bodacious artwork thanks to this guy. His CV drawings kind of reminds me of Chris Metzen's old Warcraft and Diablo artwork.

I would absolutely jizz if Marvel Comics confirmed a new Castlevania line of comics. Especially with that artwork. Trevor looks totally badass.

Now THAT is some bad@$$ artwork and from the artist who did G.I.Joe for that matter. If this guy's doing a CV Dracula's curse comic series then by all means! just seeing this style come into play for Castlevania is very refreshing. It harks back to the good ol' days of the NES, SNES, Genesis and gameboy era styles used for CV. And it's about time we got it back.

Not really feeling his rendition of Richter...the Slayer/Trowa hair makes him look kinda weird and older, and I prefer his classic Rondo costume. It's still a good job and mad skills though, I like the pose.

Very awesome. I really hope they take you up on it. It sounds like you understand the lore and want to treat it properly unlike some other comic adaptations. If the final product reflects that, consider me a definite sale.

I like all of them but my least favorite is Grant.
There's something about the arm placement that bothers me quite a bit about it.
Perhaps after there is some coloring done to give the arms some depth I will like it more, but right now it just weirds me out.
Style-wise I am no longer accustomed to Alucard having such a hardened look. I guess I've been conditioned too much by the later face designs.
Thanks for visiting the Forum! I know Quinn for a while what with the Elders of the Runestone Facebook mailing list, so it's good to see an influx of new people, especially when they come and enrich the Castlevania world with art, music, etc. Welcome!

Leon is really awesome, but he lost his naive look and identifiable facial structure.

Wow, I am loving that Leon and Dracula sketch, Robert! ;D I wish artists with your skill level and an interest in Castlevania were more common, then maybe finding more sprite artists wouldn't be next to impossible. :-\
Hell, I consider myself extremely lucky that I actually have one very good sprite artist. Most people can't even find that. 8)

I will post these colors as they get done. Thanks for the kind words, and critiques as well. I know Im not the best artist out there, but this was a lot of fun and I try my best. There's always something more to work on to get better for next time.

That colored version really brings it all to a new life. Very impressive.
It invokes a dark and powerful image the series seems to be losing lately.
