I plan to play both but not because I'm rich. But I will probably only play with friends because I like custom characters too much.

I'm considering getting a WiiU and Smash. I have a 3DS but the console one will of course be best, and not have hand cramps every 2 minutes.

Whether I end up getting one or not depends heavily on my financial status this coming month or so. As it stands right this moment today I am not in a position to do it.

^ We are pretty much the same person. Hopefully come Black Friday I'll have enough and I can get a Wii U for somewhat cheaper.

Only to clarify, the rich part is a joke.

Definitely getting both...already have it on 3DS, but I haven't tried online yet.  I imagine I suck WAAY too bad to make it worth playing online.  Not sure if I wanna embarrass myself or not. :-S

I am not fond of playing online with a bad internet connection.   :(

It's an old peripheral for the Wii.  The Wii would recognize it when plugged into the USB port.
The Wii-U version is the same.

There is such a thing?! damn, I haven't seen one in all the lurkings I did on video game stores (maybe they didn't import that). Besides, I don't own a Wii/Wii-U.

Anyone tried Mewtwo? Or have a spare code for 3DS? Thx.

I got Mewtwo.  He plays well but requires some technical tweaking of your Melee strategies.

He has no low sweeping attack (Ground DSmash), so his range isn't as good, but his DSmash is powerful to compensate for that.
His USmash won't has a smaller hitbox that's directly above Mewtwo so you can't use it to clear room in the ground.  Only as an Anti-Air or as a juggle after a DThrow.
He can WallJump.
His Shadowball has ridiculous recoil/knockback when fully charged, so it can be used as a way to propel yourself away from an opponent in the air.  Goes a bit far though with the slipperiness.
