Nice hack there, congratulations.
I would like to know how you edit those sprites because i would like to remake some monsters in that game.

Thanks. :)

as for the tool for editing sprites, I use Tile Molester.

For that you'll need to find out the palette value and enter it to Tile Molester, then you can just change the palette and save it. You can use GDD to do that.

thank you very much, i don't know if you knew this, but if not i will tell you:
when you decompress the rom whith dslazy, enter in the folder "data", and then you will find a lot of folders but these are the 2 important folders in this "tutorial": "so" and "sc"(thats the name of the folders), inside the folder "so" you will find the enemy and player AI, the files are named like this: p_XXXX.dat.
and the folder "sc" is the sprite data, the files will be named like this:
f_XXXX.dat.
it is possible to import enemies from one game to another, like putting the DoS axe armor to PoR by replacing the the original PoR axe armor files, for example: the axe armor from DoS is named in the "so" folder as p_axe00.dat and in the "sc" folder has 2 files: f_axe00.dat and f_axe01.dat.
and in PoR is p_axarm0.dat in the "so" folder and in the "sc" folder has 3 files: f_axarm0.dat, f_axarm1.dat and f_axarm2.dat.
then before you put the DoS axe armor to PoR you must rename the files like this:
from p_axe00.dat to p_axarm0.dat, and for the sprites the same thing, but if they rest more sprite data like the axe armor, you can erase or ignore the resting sprite data because the enemy AI you imported doesn't need it.
you can do it in OoE too, since the 3 games are programmed in the same way.

the things i don't know how to solve for now:
-importing mode7 enemies and bosses from OoE to the older games because there is a new folder called "jnt".
-importing player Soma to the 2 other games, i think i can place Soma's AI in the "so" folder in PoR or OoE and place the sprites in the new "sc2" folder, where there is the player sprites  and habilities in PoR/OoE.
-importing sounds.
-importing enemies without replacing them.
-modify the enemy and player AI.
-the palletes(but that one was solved thanks to you).

ironically, this method was discovered by some bipolar emo in the chapel in the time when OoE was recently released in rom file.
see you

quick edit:
if you want screenshots, i can give you some.
if you want

here:

as you can see here it almost works, but it seems it's a little bit buggy(like trowing a clone of itself, when he dies, an axe will appear srhinking instead of falling appart) and it's pallete problems, but the rest works almost fantastic.
i love to play around whit this even if it's buggy, and a nice finding for a bipolar emo in that time.

here i tried to put evil force from OoE to replace death mask but it had 2 AI:
p_dmask0.dat is for his warp intro and wing rotation and p_dmask1.dat is for the sprite to display correctly, i have chossen and replaced the wrong enemy but the majority of enemies has only 1 AI.
this finding can transform the games into mugen in the near future and with more research.

What tool did you use to repack the rom files?
