Hi there.
I was just doing some research, and I saw that some fans believe that The Magic Crystals are what power up the Vampire Killer.
Does anyone know if this has ever been talked about by anyone that has worked on CV.

Thanks

Crystals make Sara's soul feel pretty, thus increasing the VK's powerlevels.

I feel a tingling sensation that Waffle might make a fanfic on this.

I don't believe this has ever been brought up before. I do know there are crystal spheres that power up the whip in all three of the gameboy titles, but for the rest of the series they are many different icons. If you are referring to the ones you collect after each boss is defeated, I've heard them being called Spirit Orbs, and those I don't know whether or not they power up the whip. At least not game mechanic-wise

I think AoS did that in Julius Mode, but don't quote me on that.
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.
^^
You are now reading this in Robert Belgrade's voice.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

The orbs influence subweapons, not the VK.

Where's the evidence that the VK is powered up by the orbs in LOI specifically?

Julius' run doesn't supersede anything which constitutes a main run in another game imo.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but orbs are dropped by bosses, the same way that they are in the original CV. The required orbs also open the path to Pagoda.
Sara's sacrifice alone is what triggers the Whip of Alchemy into becoming the VK, as in it physically changes and starts radiating a purple hue.

Ahh no there not the same, they are part of the same family (so to speak) BUT there called  Orbs.
I can see the mix up but no. The Magic crystal are there own thing, but thank you eveyone for the input. and to tell the true... by saying some fans... yeah that was just me, I guess I felt like I was asking a dumb question.

Not really. Some of us just want to know or confirm what something is. That's part of asking questions  :)
