Haunted Castle would be better received if it used a conventional password/continue system.

Exact same gameplay. Exact same late 80s arcade graphics. The only difference is you're not instantly thrown back to the beginning of the game as soon as you Game Over even if you have quarters left.

Would you be cool with that?

It's been done in the form of PS4's Arcade Archives release, and Haunted Castle is now a much better game for it.
