This is great and handy for those who want to  play Great CV games on there PS4.


But would it had not been a better idea for them to make a Remake of CV3? I mean that's what the tv show is based on, Konami wouldn't have to even have to make it them selves. They could just get another team to make it, They could just use the SoTN  sprites for all 4 of em, just customise them them a bit, like give them all unique actions. Trevor  could swing his whip in 8 directions, alucard could his Teleport sword attack, Sypha could heal herself and grant  could be come untouchable for a small amount of time.  BAM most of the work is done, you could have an  Original Mode and Arrange Mode, Arrange Mode could add these unique actions and so you could have all four in your party. Original Mode you could just have 2 and no unique actions.

And make it 2 player like  harmony of despair.  they should have done that, if they'd started in June, they'd be done now.

I hate to sound ungreatfull as Any CV is better then No CV, it just  they could have gone that bit more.

i’d take a mode that just let you play sotn by switching between  zombie trevor grant and sypha.

This would've been killer as well. Trevor's VK has good range on it.

So it basically means they gonna use the exact same version of Symphony in DXC right?

Not interested enough to pay about 20 USD just for a bunch of trophy nonsense. At least they could do some Boss Rush mode for Rondo and Symphony or other bits and pieces rather than just the plain port of the duo

The poor DXC Symphony Maria... nothing to write home about except the unlimited dash which reminds me of Harmony of Dissonance, that's superb
If they really gonna just use the exact same DXC Maria I hope they featured some in-depth balance tweak of her, such pathetic physic damage out put like that is gonna make her Rondo self cry


As for Symphony English dialogue voice being the PSP version, I'm a little sad if there isn't a dip-switch thing that could switch the dialogue text + voice to the original PS1 English version featuring Robert Belgrade. Hell this can't be a perfect requiem - the "definitive version" if it's missing so much things...Never mind. If they do the region-switch stuff like Mega Man X Legacy Collection I don't think they can fit the invalid slots of Maria-exclusive battle cries in PS1 voice acting by adding/clipping something. It's a weird move anyway.

Sony just injects everything in, change a line of code, add a couple lines of code, and presto!

This has been reeking of laziness from the start.

If they'd gone the extra 5 minutes and included DXC which I've never had a chance to play, I probably would've bought it.

By the way, the last update on the CVD page was regarding the LOS series. It would've been over 6 years ago.

I guess I'm curious as to whether this collection merits a "new" game release, and does CVD's page get updated if so?

...this is looking more like a cheap cashgrab to me since Konami appears to just be porting over the PSP versions of this games while adding nothing to it at all other than possible trophies...
It's nifty this slice of the "CastleVania Anthology" drops at the same time as Slogra's animated debut, but purchasing a Framemeister is seeming more and more sensible than witnessing these collections stumble about. 
Fucking tired of being lied to.

Konami probably won't even add trophies to this release, lol. Calling it now.

I'm torn between showing financial support for the series, and not supporting Konami's usual half-assed attempt. Eh, I really have no reason to buy this anyway, so I guess that's that.

i probably won't buy it on account of i only care about one of the games in question, and already own that one on multiple other platforms

i never was a particular fan of OG rondo, so that does nothing for me

i now await the inevitable rage from SOMEONE over the fact that my feelings toward rondo dangle between disinterest and just plain not liking it
