Topic: 30th Anniversary (September) Sprite Contest

Deadline for submissions: September 26th (11:59 PM PST)
Judgement: by tribunal and popular vote from September 26th to September 30th at midnight and Winners announced on October (whenever the all judges are done)

Volunteer Judges: Jazz Paladin Productions, Bloo

Theme: A re-design or re-imagining of the original Castlevania logo
Prizes: Award medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. PLUS! The first place winner shall receive a free Jazzyvania CD courtesy of Jazz Paladin Productions.

Guidelines for Participants:
-Provide your sprite in 1x and 2x zoom at least if your sprite is small. (High resolutions sprites need not have a 2x version)
-Contestants can post as many entries as they want and may update their entries freely before the submission deadline.
-You may withdraw any entry at any time before the judgement begins.

Guidelines for Judges:
-Judgement will use a point system.
-4 points awarded for your first place choice.
-2 points awarded for your second place choice.
-1 point for your third place choice.
-When posting your scores write up an explanation/critique of your judgement.
-Additional rounds of judgement will be used for tie breakers.
-Judges cannot participate in the contest.
-There will be a poll to vote for the most popular sprite and this popular vote would serve as an extra judge.

I have an idea I'd like to look into, but between finishing my last 2 weeks of Master's work and having another baby next month, I'm not sure I'll get to it soon, or at all. :-/  And I really have to bust through that Master's work because it really has to be done before baby comes.

I'll definitely try though.

Best wishes for that timing, I had the same issue last year hoping to get my immigration to Canada approved before my baby was born in another country without me being able to reside there with my wife potentially...all while struggling to get a CD released before I moved to Canada and lost access  to my precious recording space...fun times...

So I went with a completelly different approach. Sadly it'll suffer from the pixel style. I tried making my logo look like a title card from an old horror movie, so minimalism was key. I could work a little more on it, but there is no time :\

I used as reference, in special, the title on the cover of Bela Lugosi's Dracula. Enjoy!

Well, despite the idea in my head that I might be able to make, I'm not gonna get anything in unless we end up pushing the judging back another month.  If we did postpone I'd make another try at it, but don't feel like anything needs to be changed on account of me.  I'm not trying to use the special powers of the not-yet-existent Stopwatch award...I knew it was slim chance I'd get anything started right now.  :-P  :-)

I see no problems with that as long as it wasn't circulated online before this contest.
