Here's my three newest Castlevania mini action figures:

POR Moldy Corpse

Materials:
Newsprint, Kleenex, white/hot glue, wire twist ties, and acrylic paint.

Dimensions*:
(* The maximum height/width of this figure can vary considerably based on how the joints are positioned. The numbers given assume a "neutral" standing pose without the mushrooms attached.)
5.5 cm/2.6 in. x 2.5 cm/1.0 in. (highest point x widest point)

Articulation:
Nineteen points: Neck (2), shoulders (2), elbows (4), wrists (2), waist, hips (2), knees (4), and ankles (2).

Time:
Approximately one and a half days. I sculpted and painted the Moldy Corpse figure in its entirety on July 1, 2008. I made the mushrooms that attach to its back the following morning on July 2.

HOD Golem

Materials:
Newsprint, Kleenex, white/hot glue, wire twist ties, paperclips, nail polish, and acrylic paint.

Articulation:
Twenty-eight points total: Mid-torso, waist, shoulder, elbow (2), wrist, fingers (14), hips (2), knees (4), and ankles (2). Additionally, all of the links in the chain can move freely.

Time:
Approximately three days; I started this project on 6/3/08 and finished it on 6/5/08.

Dracula's Curse Blood Skeleton Whipper

Materials:
Newsprint, Kleenex, white/hot glue, wire twist ties, gloss nail polish, and acrylic paint.

Wow, those are really good! Very detailed work. If I still played with action figures, I would buy those! Actually, no, I'd probably STILL buy those! You should send those to Konami and see what they think.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

I've made 22 Castlevania sculptures so far, if you'd like to see the rest, you can visit my Konami fan art page:

http://www.geocities.com/kramwartap/konami_artwork.html

As to tutorials, I don't really have any.  Just mid-construction photos.  Anybody can sculpt, it just takes time to learn and lots of practice.  The art section of your local library is a good place to look to get yourself started.

So, it looks like these are made of plastic, but you mostly have newspaper and such in the list of what you used. Why is that?

I don't believe this. That's incredible! My favorite was your Circle of the Moon Legion. It's so perfectly detailed, it's amazing! ;D
