I don't see why we'd get a C&D order as we're not using anything from them ( the game isn't called "Castlevania", and we're making our own graphics from scratch (that wasn't the case a while ago).
And if we decide to proceed with that idea, we're not going for profit here. it's only to help us to commission artists.

Hello People !
Small news update!

Very nice progress on the Game Editor :) We can start creating some data for the actual game as well as very basic maps (like the ones in the video) a lot remains to do for the actual level creation.
Database is correctly exported and imported ingame :)
So now I can do some progress on some stuff.

Dropped items now collide with map as well. Need to code the "pick it up" part :p
Shouldn't be long but couldnt test it until I actually some data to try it out.

Going to introduce the concept of friction ( we only had mass so far ), it'll be mostly used for some level properties ( ice maybe :p ) and gameplay stuff ( heavy block is hard to push :p) (still need to code the physics for that )

We shall have some new screens to show at some point (probably within the next 2-weeks) showing the new HUDs. my partner in crime is working on it although is having some inspiration issues right now. :p let's not loose faith here!

IF (BIG IF) every goes according to plan, :p We shall have Kurkoboltsi( http://kurkoboltsi.deviantart.com ) doing the character concepts and illustrations for the game :p ( oh yeah ).

We also added a tiny thing on our website, but I won't tell you, you have to find you by yourselves :p (Yes I'm evil like that)

That art style isn't bad. I think it'll be good  :)

You actually managed to get Kurkoboltsi to do the concept arts for you? That's awesome!
What kind of "incentive" did you give him? LOL

It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.
^^
You are now reading this in Robert Belgrade's voice.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

I can be a very convincing man  * evil hands shuffling together + Evil smile * :D xD
No, more seriously I just asked him if we was interested, you know, a castlevania fan talking to another castlevania fan :p
And he said yes. So yeay. He's super busy with his paid art projects, so it might take some time before we got anything to show.
But he's on board, that's what matters! :)

I'm really glad to have Nessi as well. she has worked as a concept artist on Ghost & Goblins Online :p

It's just to take a bit less room on the screen if the user doesnt want to see it.

I can't help but wonder if this project will ever be continued, or if it's even finished for that matter.

I can't help but wonder if people will realize that "is this project still alive" questions in a long-dead thread are generally better-suited by getting in touch with the person behind said project, rather than necroposting a thread that's been dead for six years.
