To answer a few questions:
- Warren Ellis is not the writer. A British writer has taken over for him.
- Adi Shankar is not involved with this sequel series; seems like he lost his lawsuit to be involved in anything beyond the original series
- This is going to cover Rondo and SotN, according to the Netflix social media, so expect Alucard in some way or another
- Richter is looking like he's meant to look like a mash-up between Trevor and Sypha's designs
- It's set during the French Revolution, which is congruent with Rondo's timeline, though we have no idea if it plays a geopolitical part in the series
We have no idea how Dracula will play into this timeline, as last we saw he was happily reunited with Lisa so he'll need a new motivation for hating humanity if they plan to keep him as the big bad. Also, Alucard was still awake and settling down to a new life with Trevor, Sypha and the survivors from Danasti at the end of the first series, so we don't know if he'll end up in his coffin sleeping by the time of this series or not.
I just had a possibly booze-induced daymare where Maria looked right at the screen and said GOWT FAKKA in a Cockney accent.
I pray the last of such unneeded pottymouth departed with Ellis.
