Well, both of these games were made by Nintendo. It's very possible that they did not stress or make aware the importance of a data clear feature to their third parties.
Like how "Oblivion" on the 360 had a button-combo to clear data, but "Two Worlds" on the same system does not feature it at the moment, last I checked. I know "Oblivion" isn't made by Microsoft, but I think you catch my drift.
It's possible AOS just doesn't support this feature. But I'm still gonna keep an eye out to see if anyone found anything.
You could also try holding single buttons down as you start the game. Or just try random buttom combos as you boot up.
