Never read the book, but just finished the Netflix series.

Wow, that was interesting as hell. However... apparently the author has no plans to write anymore. So, basically the author lost his ghost writer.

But it definitely was interesting. Mystery with supernatural twist of vamps and werewolves.

Any one else watch it or read the book? I'd like to hear about what you think.

I watched the first episode or 2 and just couldnt get into it... seemed like more shock for the sake of shock than anything else to me

It is really slow, so I can't say I blame ya. But if you keep with it, it does take odd and interesting turns. Specially the end.
