River City Girls

River City Girls should get retail release.  I dont know how Arc System Works would invest so much money on Kill la Kill IF internationally, while leaving RCG for scalpers to take advantage of its limited release being only from some online store. NISA cranks out obscure games physically for retail preorders and purchases. XSEED, and others too.  How could they leave this gem to be digital only and its few physical copies out of reach of the masses that would otherwise purchase the physical edition if they could actually get it through a local game store?   The demand for physical copies still exist, plus I heard Limited Run Games has issues.  I'll try to get a physical copy but its a shame that after this era of digital market is over, the game would be out of reach to all that dont have a physical copy or a platform that has the digital version installed. Physical edition is a must.  They shouldn't underestimate the demand for this game, and sources like Limited Run Games are not optimal for millions of customers that get their games from local stores.

That does look cute  ;D  Although I don't care for the intro theme from the video. It sounds too generic. Heck, even the singers said it was a dumb song, lol. If anything this game should utilise the original River City theme, kinda like how Double Dragon Neon did.

Generic?  I haven't heard any beat 'em up with a theme as energy overflowing, fun and awesome like this one.  Sure, there are iconic soundtracks with memorable themes like Double Dragon's, but River City Girls theme to me is perfect for it and more catchy than most themes out there.   The song is so good watched the trailer more times than other trailers I rewatched cause their theme was so great.  ;D RCR's theme is dated and not adrenaline pumping, it doesnt have the oomph, fun, motivational, and badass attitude RCG's song/theme has.

Well here's the original theme:

They could've used a variation of this and made it more up-to-date to fit the new game coming out.

Also, I just noticed "Double Dragon" in the trailer credits. Cameos/references maybe?

The Japanese PV does show Abobo around the 36 second mark, so there's that at least.

The game is something I'll be looking forward to, seeing as I played quite a bit of River City Ransom during my teenage years.

Being that I can't resist saying so... Why are they objectifying men by making them into objects that the female protagonists have "win" back?

In all seriousness, It looks pretty damn good.
And WayForward has a great track record making fun games that have very charming presentation.
