Didn't we get Mega Man and Pac Man revealed on the same day when it was shown at E3 for Smash Wii U?

Those two were revealed at different times.

Pac Man was revealed much later, near release.

The Splatoon 2 grand finals have started, the Smash Invitational is afterward.

With Snake being back in (won't lie that makes me way happy) it means Konami is back in and with that could be Simon too.

Same. Maybe they don't wanna show everything all at once, so if Simon's really in, I'm willing to wait.

Meanwhile, how is Hyper Sports R "action-adventure"? >:(

I always had trouble imagining how to fit Simon into Smash, considering the length of his main weapon. I guess he would be sort of similar to Ike. Huge reach but slow, heavy, and easy to combo. Or maybe he would be more similar to Link, boomerang = cross, arrow = knife, bomb = holy water, grappling hook = whip etc.

Highly doubt anything will happen but Konami is gonna be on twitch stream tomorrow, probably to talk about Bomberman R DLC, Hyper Sports R, or something else.

I think Vergeben leaked stuff that's happening after E3.

Simon better not be an assist trophy.

Konami is showing an unannounced game behind closed doors today.

Metal Gear and Castlevania are just about the only two IPs worthy of this type of secretive treatment.

That's interesting but the only source I could find was a 4chan thread. Is there a reason to believe it's legit?

Gamekult talk about being invited to a closed doors presentation to an unannounced game today at around the 38:00 mark.

It's in French, but a few dudes on ResetERA indeed confirm that's what is spoken about in the video at around that timeframe. I'll just quote one of the users who summarized the segment, as I imagine all of can't understand French. :P

"They are talking about it at 38.00
The gamekult team has a meeting for a unnanounced game.
This isn't PES or the sport compilation (i don't know a thing about this game).
The editor in chief knows some things on this game but can't talk about it yet."

Similarly, ResetERA user Dusk Golem, who properly knows a great deal about the Resident Evil 2 remake, outright said Konami is reviving Castlevania to "counter" the popularity of Bloodstained. If they're not announcing the collection -- and why would they, behind closed doors -- it's likely a new game.

I really hope that information is correct.  Loving Bloodstained and looking forward to the demo next week, but I can never have enough Castlevania goodness.  Won’t get too hype just in case, but looking forward to the potential.

Interesting. One of the guys asks if it's horror-related and the guy who knows about the game hesitates before dismissing the question. Really smells like it could be Castlevania.

I guess we won't find out for sure what they're showing behind closed doors until later.

If it's really a game to counter Bloodstained, then I guess they're making a new Metroidvania?

The fact that it was shown off behind closed doors leads me to believe that the game is Castlevania.

Or a new Goemon.

Either one will get me erect.
