The Lord of the Castle is stirring deep in his grave.

You could almost tell a story through images  :)

Although mine won't have as good a mechanism/level progression as Criswelvania, I hope people have a fun time once I'm done with it.

There are too many labyrinthine passageways already.

You know what I was thinking, we should have Minecraft Castlevania contests added to the forum...

Thanks, X! Hopefully the story will be much better told by playing through the map, though   ;)

Jorge, yours looks like a much more literal interpretation of Castlevania, which is great. The castle you've got there looks amazing! Criswelvania was initially just an old alpha attempt at a fun homage and adventure map that made use of the great Minecraft landscape of the time, and it has since turned into its own unique thing. We (the team has since expanded beyond just Criswell) have come up with more in-depth lore for the world and the game that begins with the castle Criswelvania in Book I but expands to a wider adventure in the current in-progress later chapters that focuses on the creators of the world and stopping the apocalypse.

You know what I was thinking, we should have Minecraft Castlevania contests added to the forum...

Anything that leads to more Minecraft and Castlevania is a great thing in my book!

You're right in that it's more literal.  Some areas are almost exact homages to locales used in the iconic Castle, throughout the series.  The vistas will remind you of areas like the Underground Waterway, Olrox's Quarters, and the Clock Tower, but they do have level progression.

I probably used TOO MUCH Real Estate.  You cannot see the entire Castle unless you set the viewing distance to a large number, though the Castle in the Fog looks pretty great as a result.
