From a female point of view, the best ending credits that I've seen goes to:
Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 2000%>1000%>Revolutions (fangirl screaming~!)

For a more gender neutral view on the topic... I always loved "Anna ni Issho datta no ni" for Gundam Seed. The song fits the story so well. I think I may have more stuff but my brain is slow today.

I liked the Maximum the Hormone songs that they had at the beginning and end of Death Note season 2, especially Zetsubou Billy. Love that chorus.

I also really liked the intro theme they had during the Raoh story arc of Hokuto no Ken. It seems like everyone likes the "You wa Shock" theme they used before that, but always liked the second one way better.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I'll definitely check the songs you two mentioned, I LOVE CREDITS THEMES! 8)

BTW, even though the anime I mentioned are mostly for a male audience, I think you'll really enjoy the credits of them, they aren't very manly at all, but really good music (all female vocalists too, unless it's just an instrumental song like in Domain of Murder).

There're a few I'm very fond of atm.

*Owari no Seraph (Seraph of the End) - XU, by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Gemie
*Shiki - Calendula Requiem, by Kanon x Kanon (I haven't seen the series, but like a couple of Kanon Wakeshima's songs, mainly Still Doll and Suna no oshiro from Vampire Knight.  Despite its happy, cheerful melody, the lyrics for Calendula Requiem are rather dark.)
*Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) - Aoki tsuki michite, by Akira
*Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) - Lacrimosa, by Kalafina
*Madoka - Magia, by Kalafina
*Vampire Knight musical - Kirie toroimen no shirabe, by Akira
*Rose of Versailles - Bara Wa Utsukushiku Chiru, specifically Kamijo's recent cover
*Cardcaptor Sakura - Platinum, by Maaya Sakamoto
*Nightwalker, the Midnight Detective - Gessekai, by Buck-Tick
*Trinity Blood - Dress, by Buck-Tick

I'm sure that there are more, but atm I can't think at the moment.

I liked Vampire Knight's opening in 2008 and still slightly like it today. Rest assured that I was much, much nerdier and cringier than any of you all at that time. And I'm still much, much nerdier and cringier than you today~

I also had poor quality rips of the full versions of both openings to VK.  I geekily named my car at the time 'Zero-kun' because of VK, as I was a huge fan.... until the manga stared getting boring imo.  You're in similar company here *laughs*.  I think we can all class ourselves here as being a bit nerdy.  ;)
