Dracula X chronicles plays like it was meant to be on a big screen, and Sega is still making quite a bit of money with those dirt cheap genesis releases

Admit it: Harmony of Despair would rock on Steam.

Can't argue with that! Tbh when I used to play it it always felt like it'd be more suited for a PC environment (typing out messages to people would be better, stage is so zoomed out and sprites are so small it'd be easier to play infront of a monitor, the sort of dungeon crawley feel it has sometimes)

Oh yes...I think you're really on to something here.

I know we all yearn for an HD version of SotN, but why not get the FULL Dracula X in one place? I did have Rondo on the Wii, and enjoyed it even though classicvanias treat me badly. ;P So yes...a Steam bundle of Dracula X Chronicles would be quite the temptation. :D

Well, if you want to play in big screen, you can get that PlayStation TV thingy that plays Vita and PSP games and use that to play Dracula X Chronicles, I read they are compatible.

Or just emulate it.

Unfortunately DXC is NOT compatible with PS TV in the US without using a hack.

THIS IS LITERALLY THE REASON I DID NOT BUY ONE.

Seriously, Sony didn't just drop the ball with everything Vita related. They doused the ball in kerosene and tossed it in a blast furnace while cackling madly.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

Compatibility is exactly why I didn't get one. Army Corps of Hell was my favorite Vita game (before I sold my system like a ding dong), and then I learn the game isn't compatible with the Vita I'd prefer to own...... WHY!?!?!? It makes ZERO sense! Same goes for the DXC, ITS JUST A PSP GAME for crying out loud lol.

I understand Uncharted and other touch based games being incompatible cus you're using a gamepad, but ACoH as well as every PSP game DOES NOT USE ANY TOUCH OR GYROSCOPE CONTROL YOU DUMBFUCKS. It'd be an amazing system if it actually worked lol... I just thought of something: PSTV works with DS4, which has a touchpad- use the touchpad for front touch control, use the L2 or R2 in conjunction with the touchpad for backtouch control.... sounds a little clunky, but it's a solution lol

I don't understand why they don't do that.
They could do a classic collection just like the (arguably lazy) one Capcom did. Putting all the 8-bit games (and maybe Kid Dracula just for a bonus) as a test, and if people bought it (which I'm sure many would), just make other releases of older games.
If there's one series that could work well on Steam, it's this series.
The morning sun has vanquished the horrible night.

Even if those are lazy ports, I'd buy more CV on Steam in a heartbeat. One can only dream about HD Metroidvanias...

And unfortunately, even with the hack, it doesn't look great as it could...

Vita is the best handheld I've ever owned.

They dropped the ball with PSTV. That's why I didn't buy one. It doesn't even support PS Vue..

I love my vita and continue to buy games on it and play it at least a few times a week.

Ya know what I did to play Rondo of Blood on the big screen? I bought a turbo duo, and an original imported copy of the game from Japan a few years after it came out.

It's a shame Konami doesn't really want all of this money of ours.

I'll also chime in that I'm disappointed that DXC isn't compatible with the Playstation TV... That was actually one of the major reasons why I bought one off clearance for $20. Damn.

...However, not a total loss and there are some great games worth mentioning that actually make the PSTV worth owning. All of the PSP Ys games are purchasable and playable along with the Vita exclusive "Ys: Memories in Celceta". So the PSTV is my Ys machine, ha ha...

Also worth mentioning is the fantastically faithful remake of the original "Final Fantasy Adventure" gameboy game re-titled "Adventures of Mana". So good! Oh, and pick up the metroidvania styled 2.5D game "Aeterno Blade". All of these games are each under $20!

This is now my forum sig. Thank you for giving me the most usable of quotes, and I will second this sentiment.
