« Last post by zangetsu468 on September 15, 2023, 04:23:49 PM »I’m mainly collecting games now, however, Tower of Children is a Switch game I recently ordered and had my eye on for a while. Kwaidan has also piqued my interest, it gives me old Japan x Castlevania 64/ LOD vibes.
EDIT: Watched the trailer for Star Ocean Second Story R, it also looks intriguing, with an interesting environmental art style.

« Last post by Johnny on September 15, 2023, 08:16:13 AM »I just got Sea of Stars. It did give me a nostalgia feel for Chrono Trigger but of course nothing can measure up to the original. Super Mario RPG Remaster is on my wish list. I can't think of much else ATM but new stuff pops up all the time.

- added new enemy to wooded areas that only appears during the night
- added new enemy blood leech
- added new story event
- added new item
- added new npc
- added new music: fetra theme
- added red color shift to enemies when hit indicating weakness
- added more weaknesses to enemies
- added flower bushes and bushes tile, decor tiles, painting tiles
- added color change to shop text if you cant afford the item
- added xbox controller B (ps controller circle) to close shop
- added gold amount text float after picking up gold bags
- improved how signs work
- minor improvements to what npc's say
- minor improvements to aljiba church
- minor improvements to jova
- minor improvements to fetra
- minor improvements to fetra house
- changes to outside lighting color
- changed shop buttons for buying, xbox controller X and A buy (ps square and X)
- buff: garlic duration increased
- fixed few typos in npc sayings
- fixed zombie die direction again (oops)
- fixed fire elementals dropping blood
- fixed miss placed exit in dead river tunnels
- fixed missing merman 2 dying animation
- fixed missing indicator from mansion doorways

Corporate Bulls**t at it's finest. It's a real shame there's no 'Dragon hunting' allowed anymore. Back in the day when higher-ups like corrupt royals and elites were executed because they dared move against the people. Sadly, the laws that protect us also protect them too. Talk about a bum wrap.
Is it possible to relocate the game as-is to another engine? Transfer the code or something to that effect?
We are way too far into development for that, Carpathian Night is forever a Unity game.

Carpathian Night is made in Unity, so this is big news for us. My personal take is that I do not see how these new fees for developers are legally or technically feasible, and Unity will likely roll back this announcement, but the damage has been done and I've completely lost my trust for Unity. It's a terrifying feeling to suddenly realize that years of work and investment in your creative passion project can be held at the mercy of greedy corporate decision making. Hard lesson learned.
My advice to anyone thinking about diving into a game development project? Don't go with Unity. Carpathian Night will likely be the only Unity game Tezcatek ever makes. This experience will likely push us toward open source solutions in the future.

Just released this new version, that more them a mere bug fixes release, the game was redone with double the content: more screens, bosses, enemies, music, and content in general.
