Title: Let The Rumors Rise Again
Post by: Dark Nemesis on October 26, 2022, 02:11:46 PM
So, who remembers this article?

https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/10/rumour-konami-reportedly-reviving-castlevania-metal-gear-solid-and-silent-hill (https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/10/rumour-konami-reportedly-reviving-castlevania-metal-gear-solid-and-silent-hill)

One third of it became reality, so what do you think, is there any hope for the Castlevania game to be also true?

Not only does Konami only see numbers but there is also a serious disconnect between the business aspect and the game development of said corporation. And then there's this: 'The first new release will be a Castlevania game, say VGC's sources, who describe it as a "re-imagining" of the series that's being developed internally at Konami.' When it comes to Castlevania, trying to reinvent it is the same thing as trying to reinvent the wheel. I'm going to remain (with salt in hand) skeptical until I see something I like. I want to be hopeful about the series that I love ... but I'm just not sure.

They might want to see first if they succeed with Silent Hill and then go for the other projects to become public?

Without going into details, I've spoken to some people at Konami and gotten word from the top that they have a plan in place for Castlevania and they at least seem confident about it. ????

This was quite a while ago.

I know that they've passed on a lot of games that would have made the fans very happy. Much more than mobile stuff. So whatever they have (if its still even a thing), it better be good.

That's all I can say.

Everytime revival rumors come up, I wonder if it'll be a 2.5D return to form or a 3D revamp that'll redefine the franchise for today's generation. After three compilations, a passable mobile game, and a polarizing animated series over the last five years, I just want the revival (if indeed there is one) to be good.

Dude I wanted to say "You know more than you're letting on, don't you?" But that's silly because if you did, you'd tell us, right?

....right?  :D

Gimme LoD Remastered

I kinda want this too. CV64/LoD did get a very rough start, and not really the recognition it should've due to the success of SotN. However it does feel very Castlevania to me in ways that even top IGA's two 3D entry's. If given the proper treatment/chance a remake of this title would be something I'd look forward to playing.

Gimme LoD Remastered

It needs remaking. Although I’m a big fan, it feels very outdated, even if it were remastered.
Plus it deserves a much better legacy..

The best CastleVania things of the present generation haven't been coming from the place it was born.

In a Parallel Universe the license was handed over to a team who really cared.

(Oh, the Parodius license was passed over to me.  8) 8) 8) )
