Just trying to knead some of the lost graduates together. I am P**vo. Newer members can join us, too. Hello, who are you?  :)

I pop in from time to time, but rarely do forums anymore. I tend to watch a ton of Youtube videos when not working, to scour for the next game for the collection, but even that will be at it's end soon as I have mostly what I want. The rest of the shit has gotten too expensive, and has taken the fun out of the hobby. Over 1,200 games should be satisfying enough.

Weakling.

Send me free money, and I'll buy more.  ;D

Retro games are only getting more expensive.

Long disappeared I'm afraid. Raven Reaper's around, but not doing forums, he's married with a kid last time I talked to him a little while back. But MA is long gone.

Unless that price bubble pops soon, before the PS1 gets swallowed into it as well (the Saturn has already approached that territory, that system is a bitch to collect anything cheap for. Saturn Bomberman I recently just got, the Japanese version for $40, but that's close to the end of the line for that system for me), collecting will become more and more spotty, I only tend to buy twice, maybe 3 times a year now due to how expensive the hobby has become. These damned resellers are taking the fun out of the hobby. These fuckers are not in the game for the fun of collecting, but to disprove the old saying, "you can't make a living off of selling old video games", and they have found a damned way of doing so. Of course, space in my bedroom for more games has gotten pretty slim, wish I had the space for bookshelves, but I'd probably need two good sized ones, or more, but don't have the space for them. To me, that is the ultimate way of organizing games, but not happening.

Not to mention I ordered SVC Chaos PS2 Japanese version, and the seller's warehouse staff goofed and sent me Namco X Capcom, which I promptly sent back for a refund, and the guy may not have an SVC Chaos for me to buy anymore. Not to mention after 2 days I still haven't gotten my refund back to my Ebay gift card back. I read it takes sometimes 3-5 days for that to happen, and when and if it does, I will message that dude to look through his inventory again to see if he still has the copy I ordered, if not I take my business elsewhere when one pops up for the same price or cheaper again (been buying from the guy for years on Ebay, second time in a  year they goof up on an order and send me the wrong thing. Might be my last time buying from him). I have another Ebay store I buy from, several years too, and they have never goofed on an order of mine. Hell I bought Seiken Densetsu 2 SFC (Secret of Mana  as it LOLCHEAPZ), Super Bomberman 4 and 5, and Saturn Bomberman all from this other seller, and everything came in exactly as I had ordered.

Imports are about the only retro games I still buy. Prices on US releases are just stupid. Beyond that, I just buy modern releases. I really like collecting for Vita. I always seem to gravitate toward niche, underdog systems, plus handhelds the last couple gens have offered games that are more reminiscent of old school games than the home consoles. But I'm almost kind of looking forward to Vita being totally done so I can cut back on buying modern releases too. I've got 1600-some games myself, and yeah, it's really more than enough. I don't think I'll ever stop buying the occasional game, but I feel ready to chill out even more so with the accumulating and enjoying what I've already amassed.

I still drop in once in a blue to glance CVDF's pulse and, on fumes, phone in a response to something relevant, but if nothing else you can almost bank on an annual mid-July appearance for the traditional wink.

After launching my first dotcom (http://www.terriblehands.com/) in 2006 I held on to being an active member of the online CV Fandom until Life's other priorities pulled me away for good about a decade ago.  A little more recently there came a second dotcom (http://www.erictjroman.com/) I haven't done a damn thing with . . .

These years I'm finding myself in a challenging place where I struggle to keep my creative mentality on target.  In the very least, I also happen to be in a world where Slogra appears in a cartoon about CastleVania III, so life is still beautiful.   8) 8) 8)

P.S. Ravereap is still a badass and Docpan remains missed.

Hey, Romo! Still a Sloggy fan?  :) Bloodreign, Raven Reaper and CV Attic days were great! I hope RR is doing fine. Loved you, Midnighter, Masta Ace and Raven Reaper on CVA. Succubus and I had a spat in circa 2003 if I remember correctly.  ;D I don't remember the details, anymore. But then again, who didn't have a spat with me in those days. I was just learning English and possibly came off as a troglodyte for many back then, so I can't blame anyone. It really helped me with my English, though. I spent a year in ICVD jail for rubbing people the wrong way back then. Yes, 365 days. And then I served my time and everyone was nice to me, after that.  :D Hey, Jerkofwonder! 8) Outside Toru from Japan, who was the Swedish kid who also had a Phantasy Star avatar? Oh, and where is Tweeter?
P.S. Eric: Docpan and Anapan. What was the difference between these two usernames?

Also, I made us all some wall meat, if lightning strikes (https://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1260.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii574%2FMusa_Garnet%2FIMG_20181203_014339_zpsgt2szdbs.jpg&hash=b7b9761f452a1c9c0d8c5caca82dff7f)

I was part of CVD starting either 1999, 2000 or 2001. My username was likely either N0-Name, or Oblivion.
It's been so long. All I really remember at this point is that I was also frequenting The Mega Man Outpost, which is now The Mega Man Network.

In-between then and now I was also Insanitist.

I remember you Paavo, and Jerkofwonder. I also remember Diplocephalus by namesake.
Shelverton is still on HG101 last I checked. Admittedly that was a few years ago.
Edit: I see now in the screenshot Shelverton hardly left. My bad; it's late here.

Hey, Reign. You know every once in a while I check on Retro Realities. Home page is frozen on one date. :P

Actually I'm still a moderator on VGM, not that the forum's seen activity in years (outside of the wrestling section), but it reminds me: I need to hunt down Mr. P and Uncle.

Retrorealities is sadly no more, so nothing is updated. Mr P posts on one of the VGM subboards occasionally, the GX Board. I never log in there anymore, but I do read the GX board for laughs now and again (they have a pee obsession with every dead celebrity). As for Uncle, no telling what happened to him, reminds me of Master Ace from the CV Attic, not long after that went under, he vanished. Raven Reaper on the other hand I am friends with on Facebook, guys happily married with a child these days. He has grown up before my very internet eyes.

Yeah I was kind of hoping the RR channel on YouTube would have stayed active, with their 8-bit Transformers the Movie intro song. Shame.
I abandoned FaceBook. Never was fully on board with social media, though I do have an Instagram. I forgot about Ace. I'm getting to the point where I'm taking four-year naps at a time.
I think I saw Uncle on some other forum years back so I know he's around. I just can't remember where. Fortunately there aren't that many Uncle5555's on the net.

Until the game's over, brother!

Dr. Pancake first appeared on the CVDF (or maybe DCTP's board then crossed over) at some point during the first half of 2002.  We got along so well I shortened his name to Docpan and that was that.  He was cool with everyone across all the CV forum camps, as I recall.  I last heard from him a couple of years ago, just as Netflix was dropping Castlevania (seven months after the CV-themed MAGfest, shoutout to Tanatra for bringing me along!) for some awesome serendipity.

As I was getting my CV forum legs in the middle to later half of 2001, Anapan had been using various alchemies on the SotN CD to extract its fantastic hidden riches.  Among his other wizardry he brought to light numerous deleted bits, revealed demo rooms, exposed effect sprites and polygon textures, pulled out the sound effects in ther raw forms, and even made Fonts off its type!  For this prowess I dubbed him "Anapan, THE MAN who CAN!!!"

(Anapan also posted his take (http://www.erictjroman.com/dctp/humor/roctslog.gif) on my Parodius Slogra (http://www.erictjroman.com/dctp/humor/sinyaso/paro-cv.gif) when Master Librarian posted a scrolling CVII mountiainscape GIF, thus helping incite ParoVadius 17 years ago yesterday!  [Dammit, I need an animation team!])

Hello, I was lurker member from fall of '99. I discovered I was getting SotN for Christmas that year (spying in the backseat of our family van) and searched the internet for SotN info and found the Dungeon. It had the fantastic blood font, the plethora of game knowledge/secrets, and some fan fiction that was actually really good before it was lost. Of course I found the inverted Dungeon shortly after and was a lurker member, but think my account was deleted from inactivity. IIRC there were black and white photos of the staff at the time? I remember Darkmoon and Loki, and know most of your names in this thread. So after ~20 years, hello everyone lol

Hey, Hiryu. :) I don't think the Inverted Dungeon ever deleted inactive users, but beats me. The forum as a whole doesn't exist anymore, though (but I think Devilotx has a backup of it). The website still exists, but that split off from the forum long before the forum went down anyway.
