Hello !
I want to share with you a preview of my small fan project called "SailorVania". It's a 2D metroidvania heavily inspired by Castlevania (more specifically Symphony of the Night)... with Sailor Moon characters. So yeah, it's a bit silly and all that but it's a fun experiment nonetheless.

It borrows heavily from SOTN assets at the moment since this is just a tech demo, this may change in the future when things gets fleshed out.

This looks fun! The movement and combat seems well polished. I really like how you've scaled the characters to the environment. Lots of charm

I'm definitely curious and want to give it a shot! I mean it's only fair since Sailor Moon's moon rod did end up being in SotN.

well done.  now i'm curious what happens to the moon kingdom during eclipses.

I was skeptical until seeing the vid (doesn’t hurt that Venus & Mars are my preferred two ‘sailors’). The humour was on point fr  ;D

If I’d never played SOTN, I’d simply think it was a Konami game.

Gameplay looks sick btw.

Do they explode into blood when they die? Or do their magic ribbons fly off and they get naked??

Amusing alas blood and nudity are likely going to be frowned upon with this kind of light hearted game. Just make them magically disappear in a bunch of shining particles and that will be fine. ;D

This is exactly what happened to Nephrite when he died. It was one of the more touching episodes in season 1.
