After seeing the two official trailers I am actually looking forward to watching the next 'True' installment of Ghostbusters.

They might. We probably just haven't seen it in the trailers. At this point I'm willing to take this over that 2016 woke feminist propaganda any-day.

I got none of that out of the 2016 film. I watched a film with a funny cast that did their thing with the concept. I feel like for it to be "woke feminist" you had to want it to be "woke feminist".

The female Ghostbusters looked like dick, the new one looks slightly less dick. Wish the "franchise" were just the first movie in all its perfection.

I honestly think the new one looks like more dick. Just nostalgia dressed up with a Stranger Things veneer. It's lame.

The only sequels to the original two films I will accept are

I enjoyed the 2016 flick for what it is: a funky reimagining and a spin off that never had a chance to eclipse the main act no matter how much the haters wanted to pretend it somehow did.

Actually the sequel to the first two files was Ghostbusters: The video Game. The story was written by Harold Ramis & Dan Aykroyd and is cannon to the franchise, believe it or not. Essentially the third movie is the game or I should say interactive movie.

You can watch it on YouTube so I say it definitely counts as the third movie in the franchise.
