From the newest Nintendo Power:

Summary info from gonintendo:

Characters confirmed thus far - Dracula, Simon, Alucard, Shanoa, and Maria Renard.
Classic subweapons - holy water, magic spells, dagger, boomerang
Subweapon use still depends on hearts
Remixed classic Castlevania tunes
Set traps, destroyable environments, enemy monsters interfere with battle
Nunchuck controls character movement, Wiimote used for motion attacks

OMG!! I don't know what to make of this!! This could be insanely awesome, or horribly stupid.  PLEASE don't end up like Bloody Roar!

Let the discussion commence!

[EDIT]

Thanks Vangerdahast

I wonder who's creating the game? I doubt it's the regular CV team.. cause what experience do they have with fighters? I wonder if this will be anything like Soul Calibur.. it's how I've always imagined a CV fighter.

I like Castlevania. I like fighters. This might be good.

If they hope to compete with the likes of SFIV and KOFXII, though, all I can say is good luck. I hope they have an option to use a plain old arcade stick as I'm sure the motion controls will suck ass.

That's...This is...Goodness, this is bad. I seriously hope this is a joke. Okay, well, hopefully, they'll stop making it once they realize how idiotic they're being. How far are they into the game's development? :-\

I don't care. They just better make Slogra and Gaibon playable.

Why I do believe Konami made Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters.

It was actually pretty alright.

Indeed, but it was so many years ago. Those people may not even be with Konami anymore. But who knows.. maybe IGA hmself proves to be really good at directing fighting games.
