The old universe is too campy for LoS's gritty/serious tone. It wouldn't sit well.

I'd rather have something new or another game in the old canon.

It's also kind of weird from Konami's viewpoint, since for the past 5 years it's been nothing but FORGET EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT CASTLEVANIA and trying to get new fans, and with this it would be REMEMBER EVERYTHING YOU KNEW ABOUT CASTLEVANIA. Like why would they convolute things even more if the series being convoluted to begin with was one of the reasons they wanted a reboot?

Me too. I don´t see a nice idea that a game have a name from the old canon. Just think in a game named Lord of Shadows (yes, like that) with the Belmonts and the lore from the old and classic canon...
