He definitely had the super star sparkle, but I had the volume down so I don't know if there was the music too.  Also, admittedly, I didn't pay attention to him until the end really.  It was a 2 man stock finale, the other 2 got KO'd quickly and then he quickly ousted my 2 lives too.  I am certain I must have hit him (I know I'm not that bad at the game), but I guess I can't definitively say, "I literally watched my fist hit his face and saw nothing happen."  It was a little frantic, as battles sometimes get.
