Revisited Castlevania Chronicles JPN (No Miss Mode) and beat it, much like what I did in the past 3 years.

If you don't mind my asking, what is 'no miss' mode? I just finished the US arrange version.

MM3 is awesome btw. 2 is my all time favourite.

Playing Castlevania XX/ Vampire's Kiss at the moment.
Thinking of picking up Gargoyle's Quest I & II for the 3DS.

What is 'no miss' mode?

Enter file name "NOMIS" and start a new game, Simon will stand there, but with one life unit. Simon can still eat meat/use herb, but his life meter will be restored to one unit after finishing a Block/Level.

Okay cool thanks. I was just going to try on hard mode instead, the enemies seem to move significantly faster and attack more.
I remember herbs vaguely but don't even recall getting one on my last play through.

Also looking at the Japanese version the chain whip looks significantly longer than the US'. I hear Simon can break block with his sub-weapon in addition.

@Aridale yes exactly. They look great and I liked Demon's Crest very much.
I'm a little bit irked that you can only purchase on MasterCard or visa though, you'd think an international gaming company that generates millions would give provision for all types of cards! Holding off at the moment.

I never played the games growing up, but Gargoyle's Quest is pretty fun...I was excited when I first heard of Capcom bringing the games to the VC. I eventually want to try the sequels.

I finished that cryptic SS Nakatomi level on Star Trek, only to return to the friggin' mine level. Dammit.

They have this mine maze where you have to go through 4 levels of mines to find 12 miners and rescue them. Only now, they make you go back and find 49 pieces of a specific mineral on the walls. Urrrggh. Oh yeah, and only Geordi can see them. So you go through this thing with Geordi, wander aimlessly looking for rocks, kill mole creatures, beam back up when you're near death, warp to a starbase to heal him (and avoid any hostile encounters), return, then go back for more.

And the funny thing about this is that I'm not even a Star Trek fan (nothing against the show, just never watched it). I wanted to go back and play this because I remember my stepdad and I taking turns on this game and having a decent amount of fun with it. There's some fun to be had, but my god, the tedious levels are excessively so.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I bit the bullet and purchased Gargoyles Quest I and II for VC on the 3DS.

I've started playing GC I and I'm surprised at how clutch the platforming is. I'm passed the second stage/ first tower and they really have packed in some good platforming design into this. I haven't had sweaty palms from playing a platformer in years, but this has officially sparked my interest in older platformers aside from CV.

I expected it to be a lesser version of Demon's Crest, but it feels very playable.

Reached around 45-min in Arcade mode of Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel. I'm sure I can retire happily (For now). I really love RKS and RKSF!

Also picked some pirated titles (Castlevania DX, a Game Boy pirate) and Doujin stuff (The Soul of Dracula).
The pirate Castlevania DX was a really decent work, even compared to the crazy things in modern games.(I actually forgot it being a pirate made my some unnamed-and-unspeakable small Chinese companies.) The control scheme and ending was very rough though.
The Soul of Dracula was HARDCORE. Very difficult, with some crazy trial-and-true formula, the music and graphic quality was very rough, but the game still has the long-lost Castlevania atmosphere. All the things a Classic Castlevania game needs were all there. I can't beat the last two levels, but I really enjoy it.

I recently beat Portal 2. It was a great game. I didn't cry. Who said I cried? You're crying.  :'(
It has to be one of the most well crafted games I have played. Valve is the best. Portal 3 for Steam VR Headset?

Playing La Mulana EX for the Vita. Great exploration and platforming. It's pretty cryptic at first, until you get enough money to buy some much-needed items from the shops.

I've been consumed with playing Command and Conquer: Red Alert 1 and then Red Alert 2 for a good while now. I've beaten RA1 and the Soviet half of RA2, something I've been meaning to do since around 2008. Great games if you like RTS. But even if you don't, you gotta love any series that starts with Eistein traveling back in time to kill Hitler, and ends with a telekinetic Japanese school girl (in RA3).

Both RA1 and RA2 are free at the moment by the way. Red Alert 1 was released as freeware on Command & Conquer's anniversary some years ago, and RA2 is free to grab on Origin for a limited time.

Finished Castlevania POR without using the Vampire Killer.
Then beat Richter and got the VK.
Then beat Sisters mode with all optional bosses On Hard Max cap Level 01.
Now playing Richter/ Maria mode on Hard Max Cap Level 01.

Years ago I'd already beaten the game with the VK on Jonathan/ Charlotte mode and then finished that mode on Hard Max cap Level 01, but I may do it again. I may also try my hand at the boss rush and arena mode on HMCL1, as this was the one thing I'm not sure I completed. I think I did everything and got up to the part of the arena where you fight 2 of 'The Creature' at once. Although I'm sure I did beat this on regular hard mode, normal was a breeze.

Transformers: Devastation. Awesome game as it's based off the cartoon series and not the god-awful Micheal Bay garbage. It's not a long game as it took me about 8 hours to finish. Did it on the same day I bought it. Has all the original voice actors too. Worth every penny in my opinion. Right now I'm playing Dragon Quest Heroes.
