Title: April 2015 Castlevania Dungeon MUSIC Contest

Duration: From now until April 30th
Deadline for submissions: April 28th (11:59 PM PST)
Judgement: by forum poll from April 28th to April 30th at midnight and Winners announced when the votes are all in.

Theme: Gameboy-vania Month

I hope so. If not for my second choice (if I have time to make it, that is) of Chromatische Phantasie, I'd do Passpied. And I've already got that Sons of Satan arrange laying around...

Who knows, though, there's plenty of time.  :)

Battle of the holy and revenge are the bomb! Always loved those 2 tracks  8) I just grabbed a new pc yesterday and started working on a medley belmonts revenge  ;D

Sounds great man, sounds more like it would be on Haunted Castle  :P which is an awesome thing IMO btw  ;D

OK, here are my entries. Don't think I'll have anymore time to remix for this contest this month, with exams, other projects, and other stuff.

As you would come to expect from me, it's modern CV/rock based lol.  Also, like usual i try as much as possible to add some custom pieces to the tracks as well to set them apart even further if possible.  I've got a show this Saturday with my band so my weekend is going to be booked up through Sunday, so i'll be working on some additional tracks sometime during the week next week.  Hope you folks dig it!  8) This is one of my favorite tracks  ;D

After 1:08, the lead sounds buried under the heavy rhythm guitars. Pushing the cymbals back a little in volume would help the orchestra to shine more. EQing your orchestra instruments in the final section will also make your sound less muddy. That's what I could notice with a quick listen. :)

Other than that, the arrangement is very good.

Epic sounding. I really like how it feels at 0:43. There is something I want to say about it, but I don't have the musical vocabulary to properly explain it. It feels like the notes are too 'short'. From the strings or horns I can kind of see this, but when the organs do it they feel somewhat empty sounding instead of a solid heavier component. That is the best I can explain it.

I was actually expecting the lead to come out a little heavier, but by no means bad. Maybe a little tweak to the mixing could fix that feeling but I couldn't qualify to say how to go about that. The softer introduction was a nice touch.

This was a pleasant surprise then it was all too short when it started to get good. Especially when track started all slow and gradually got faster..

Take your time to polish it, that's no major deal if you cannot make it a contest entry, as long as we can hear that good medley. :)

sounds good drac9 :) I like the organ arrangements. Hopefully i'll be able to squeeze one more entry in this month, but my band has finally started hitting the road again and I dont have as much free time as I used to. Should have a little bit today so im gonna comb through the tracks one more time lol

Shiroi, if you could please remove my first song.  I've got an updated version now :)

This track starts out with the exact same sound as the first one, but the remainder of "Battle of the Holy" has been remastered, and i combined it with "Revenge"  ;D

Hey folks, how do you all feel about doing a haunted castle medly month? Thats another forgotten title for some great music  8) I mention a medly because 1) the tracks are pretty short, 2) the ost itself is short lol, 3) because certain themes like the title,  wedding intro and game over themes are just bleh lol and 4) because it could be a fun challenge  ;D why not take the day to think it over and tomorrow if no one wants it i'll throw another idea at us lol.

Actually, let's try this out:

The Final Stand - Pick a song or take another song and theme it towards the final moment of victory, similar to how Simon's Theme plays at the Drac fight in the end of SCV4.

Song selection - Anything from any Castlevania title

Note that the song's do not have to be remixes that are changed to suit that situation, but are definitely welcome!
Examples: Simon's Theme - SCV4
              Dont Wait Until Night - Haunted Castle
