I think everyone would agree that those damn medusa heads are the most hated of the lot.
But I would like to see if there are other opinions.

Bats because I personally think they're sometimes harder to see.

I really, really hate the medusa heads but I had to go for the bats because they also travel in an annoying zig zag pattern, they pop up all over the place when you least expect them and as GuyStarwind mentiones they are sometimes difficult to spot!@

Medusa heads and Bats are notorious for being evil. I think we can all Agree but one Boss just gives me the shivers and chills when I see it..Legion..Foes anyone else get the goosebumps when you keep seeing bodies just flooding out?? Those moans..I first fought it in the Symphony of the Night. But just fought it yesterday in the Portrait of Ruin.

Bats. Medusa heads are more predictable, since they move the same way in most games. I'm just really used to them. Bats may fly straight, drop from above, zig-zag their way up or down to you, or (in PoR's hard mode) home in on you to a degree.

Blobs, slimes, other nasty creatures... They poison you (or curse you) at the most inappropriate time. But MedusaHeads - no, I'm fine with them. Clocktowers would be so much easier without them..

Fucking bats. They have a zillion different flight patterns and are fast as shit.

Of course the thing not to lose sight of here is that while we might all "hate" these enemies, it only makes it that much more satisfying when you kill them/get past their section. And if there was cheesy medusa head/flea man merchandise like there is for Mario's enemies, I'm pretty sure there's a good chance I'd buy it or want to buy it.

Exactly. We love those enemies since they give us the feeling of Castlevania. We hate them cause they are pesky and they can kill.

Medusa is not the only one i think is annoying, but since you made a poll about it. I was going to suggest another one, so...
One thing i find really annoying, is the Maggots, from Castlevania LoI. X_X

Dogs/Panthers (add them so I can vote plz), Medusa Heads atleast can be used to climb at someplaces using double-jumps, they are the 2nd on my list tough because of Dracula X from SNES, I played it as a child and that game must be named MedusaVania, since they have Medusa Heads everywhere. :'(

Come to think of it, they can be a pain when trying to tackle them in SotN with Richter or Maria. I like makin those panthers burn tho!

i think ecclesia had the most intense Frankestein monsters. Medusa heads were rough until u get Rapidos glyph. then they dont even matter

remenbered me of the good times that i spent playing PoR and OoE on HardMode LVL 1 with a fresh file. good times good times ...
about the 'frankstein' i have to disagree the chronicles one is more active and intense than the one in OoE

I don't know what context were using for "intense," but, I mean, The Creature from SotN thought he was a pinball and the one from PoR was a little trigger happy.

couldn't get past the forest. in hard mode NG+-
Get the zombie summon ability, call it down, fuck about until it starts lurching forward then slowly inch, using it to tank the heads. I've played hard mode TWICE on OoE (and without NG+'ing) and both times it's worked.

My first time playing Albus Mode (these last days) have been in Hard Mode (Lvl 50 limit, since Im not so masochist to try a Lvl 1 run with Albus, atleast not now), I've past Skeleton Cave some hours ago and until now the forest is the most hard part, second one being Skeleton Cave.

My ONLY two gripes with Albus mode (aside from the usual lack of story) are them making you fight yourself in the mine while robbing you of a fight with Barlowe, because damn it I was so looking forward to getting revenge on him with Albus. The other was Albus not being able to shoot fire, lightning and ice from his gun (although Serio fixed that for us)l

Albus couldnt shoot that even as a boss, its a hidden and forgot code dump in the game or only because it would make sense and be cool (and really is cool)?

well they need to make a game where all the the richter mode characters can be used like Maxim, Hugh and Albus. all in one game.Give them all their respective stories and i just want to use Hugh anyway... screw the timeline, just have Aeon come set it all up or something :P
