Count me in. Contra 4 has practically become one with my DS.

Contra is fantastic. Well, not all of them, but the sidescrolling ones. Contra 4 is unfortunately not out in Europe yet, and I'm beginning to think that it's been cancelled or something. :( If that's the case I'm getting the US version instead, cause the game looks absolutely fantastic.

I'm thinking of picking up Neo Contra too, though everyone tells me not to. But I can find it dirt cheap so I might give it a shot anyway.

I still don't have Contra 4.

Play-Asia  it'll probably be cheaper and DS is region free anyway. I have a US version of PoR and i got all the cool promo stuff with it too.

The only thing I really don't like about DS games from the US is the box... I just think american DS boxes are kinda shitty (or maybe I've just been unlucky in the past)... That's why I'm still waiting for a european release. Yeah, I'm geeky like that. But if the game isn't coming here I'll definitely import anyway.

US Cases are shitty - at least ife they're all black ones like i got. they seem smaller and less durable... but if you look after your stuff i suppose that shouldn't matter. It's all a matter of aesthetics really

Contra 4 IS fantastic.

That certainly sucks that it's still not out in Europe though T_T

My entire YouTube page consists of mostly Contra playthroughs and whatnot.

I also heard that the only bad Contra was Neo Contra because of it's isometric view, which kind of messes with the game's dynamics. Ironically this is the only Contra I haven't played ._.

Shattered Soldier was way too hard.

I wouldn't say hard, but it definitely did have a significant learning curve.

There isn't a single Contra that to this day that I wasn't able to run through on hard without continuation within the first week, but Shattered Soldier definitely did give me a lot of trouble and required significant adjustments before I could pull off a hard run.

It's alien rebels here - I loved that game! and you got to play as cool robots too rather than some rambo/terminator lookalikes

hard corps, the genesis game, you could play as a robot, as well as a terminator look-alike, a woman version of that, and a werewolf.

it's a series i do, and don't like. basically i like it, but i'll never beat it.
