I disagree. I still love the first Metal Gear Solid. I feel the same about it now even after 10 years. I'm going to feel the same about Guns of the Patriots in another 10 years as well.

And it really is one of the best. Twilight probably takes the cake though..... probably.

It's even better with shiny new Hi-Res graphics courtesy of High-Resolution texture packs.  >_>

But yeah that's a great game.

At the risk of derailing this thread, I will say that the movie set of cutscenes is very nice.  MGS games have always had a certain charm about their story.

HOWEVER  I will agree with the number of people that say "No game is worth 500+ dollars".

Did anyone else think that...

spoilers in black, below

Snake's civilian disguise, aka the brown coat with the tie, looked like Gillian Seed from Kojima's earlier game, Snatcher?

Yeah, I thought that too. And I'm sure they did it on purpose what with all Kojima's other Snatcher/ Policenauts references  and cross overs. Metal Gear MK II, Meryl, Ed and Johnathan, Dr. Madnar and the Snatcher project. I think he just likes crossing things from his games over
