Topic: Dragon Ball Super: Broly

I am hyped. And really digging the new canon Broly design. I am wondering what the re-canon story will be though.

I'm also hyped for hyped for this, and I'm glad they've finally made a distinction between DBZ Broly LSSJ and DBS LSSJ (first seen with Kale) which both give the green aura but are worlds apart in terms of power level.

It makes me admire my DJfungshung Broly SSJ3 resin with slightly greenish hair even more XD

The film is supposed to elaborate on the history of the Saiyans and this will have a plot element which somehow involved Frieza. Perhaps he initially destroyed Broly or somehow froze him in cryogenic stasis to contain his power and effectively eliminate him before the events of dbz. It would explain why Broly and Goku are fighting in an arctic environment in the trailer.

I hated that Super female Broly ripoff. However, that scene did give us the most EPIC Kamehameha wave in history against Kefla in Ep 116.

I am also digging that Prison Planet Arc from the Dragonball Heroes Anime. I hope this get's translated for a Funimation US release.

I saw it more as establishing canon in a different universe.

I wonder if the Legendary Super Saiyans mentioned in dbz will be a reference to Broly. 

Side note: Whis and Frieza's voice actors sound different, not as good.

Interesting. What I wonder, though, is if like the Freiza movie, this will be a prelude to fleshing the story out more in Dragon Ball Super.

Maybe the case. However, I have a feeling this movie will be a standalone iteration. Since the tournament of power was concluded and people are now very familiar with Super's universe, it feels it will be its own title, much like every other Broly movie has been so far. Personally I hope they don't just re-hash the same saga, they did it with BOG>DBS and tbh BOG was far superior.
