Title: Why was Bloody Tears the Stage 1 theme in Legends?
Post by: Super Waffle on July 31, 2015, 07:59:55 PM
I thought that was more of a Stage 2 sort of thing.

The way they pulled it off in-game (with as much bass and full channel sound as a Gameboy mono speaker can possibly muster), it definitely immediately puts you into action mode.

I think that's the biggest reason.

Maybe Konami was making a period joke.

Oh man. Downvoted for poor taste. That's just... brazen.
Still, I applaud your honesty, good sir. Well played.

Was the song Bloody Tears or was it a variation of Vampire Killer? I'm pretty sure stage 1 of Legends was playing Vampire killer.

Vampire Killer (a heavy remix) was used for stage one of the Dracula fight. Bloody Tears was the opening level theme.

Okay, I get now. I had to play the songs before I understood *Derp!* For some inexplicable reason I always get Bloody Tears and Vampire Killer mixed up. God, it's annoying  :P

That's ok. Just remember Bloody Tears is the good one from CV2/Haunted Castle and Vampire Killer is the overrated one from CV1.

Because you have to admit, its such a kickass song to start a game with! And this variation of it is EXCELLENT! Best song in the game by far!

It actually makes sense.. Even though some time has passed between the game's backstory and Sonya's adventure commencing, she wants revenge on Dracula for ransacking her family's mansion and killing everyone. I'd be shedding bloody tears too.

Oh my god...
I don't know how I skipped over this really good version of Bloody Tears
(click to show/hide)
but this is gold. I think I'd rather see a remix of this version instead of all the unimaginative versions of Simon's Quest floating around the OSTs and Internet.
