Maybe straight guys wore those things in the 1600s, and still, they might have been worn simply because it was comfortable to move around in. By the way, Conan Simon has short shorts as well. The nitpicking isn't necessary.

That's actually the reason Judgement Simon really doesn't bother me as much (Others complain about it more. It looks more like Simon than PSX Simon, at any rate). But the PSX Simon's design just comes across as weird. It just doesn't look right.

BTW, in the 1600's, Europeans were sailing ships to Europe. Conan Simon's armor would be severely outdated, and PSX and Judgement Simon wouldn't even fit in. Truthfully, Simon should probably have had armor closer to that of the Conquistadors, but oh well. (/Obligatory history fact)

...Well then, I guess that means Richter can get things done with less people to help him.
but trevor's mentally strong enough not to get mind controlled by drac's minion who's already dead. ;D

It was also the first time a Belmont fought Dracula so we can excuse that. He was just making precautions. Besides, you don't really need to use the other three to beat the game. Trevor himself is capable alone.

So is Richter, in all four games. And yes, I'm including Portrait of Ruin.

Trevor also screwed up and nearly killed Hector. Twice.

big deal. hector was dracula's general and supposedly as strong as death after all. trevor'd have to be a total fool to just go and trust a guy he meets for the first time who he thought was a twisted murderer(isaac) playing dumb to catch him off guard.

and the second battle was a test. obviously if trevor'd be able to beat hector, there's no way hector could defeat what was before him.

Yeah, okay, that actually makes sence. But why arn't Sypha, Grant, and Girlycard *Ducks sniper shot* with him at all in the game?

RoB, DXX, SotN, PoR, and DXC is not 4. Even so, you shouldn't count games aside from RoB and SotN. Richter is the worst Belmont anyway. He has nothing going for him. At least the other Belmonts have special accomplishments(except for Juste, but he can use Belnades magic, so that counts). Leon is the founder of the clan, Trevor was the first to defeat Dracula, [I can't remember what Christopher did], Simon fought Dracula twice and beat him both times, Juste can use Belnades magic, and Julius actually killed Dracula.

Wasn't Richter the first to use the slide dash and super jump? Also, he can pull a Leon-style backflip. Or is it LSK can pull a Richter-style backflip?

Chris actually brought even less to the table. He really didn't bring ANYTHING new. At all. Really, he sucks.

Don't bring up gameplay mechanics, now. And yes, Christopher did something, but I can't quite remember it at the moment.

Technically, they're techniques that since then have been passed on to all the later Belmonts. Except the LSK Backflip, but that's just Richter's awesomeness. And if techniques didn't matter, then why did Item Crash go uncontested?

No, it's not. And what do you mean, "techniques that since then have been passed on to all the later Belmonts" and "if techniques didn't matter"? Gameplay mechanics. Gameplay mechanics shouldn't count at all.

Techniques are techniques, whether you accept them or not. Item Crash wasn't discarded earlier, so neither are the techniques Richter brought to the table.

They don't count because they're simple gameplay mechanics that were brought by the time they used Richter. It doesn't make him special at all.

He's the first to use them, and the only one with the backflip if memory serves me right. But if you really want to go there, he's the only one who actually managed to prevent a loved one from getting turned. Yes, boys and girls, I'm talking about Annette.
