Say what stages enraged you more...

To me its in Dracula X (SNES) in that one that you need to jump from pillar to pillar and if a medusa head hits you, you fall in another stage (the mud cave one) going for a bad end. (Damn you medusa heads  >:()

Oh God...  >:(

I've got several in mind but the one that stands out the most is the doppelganger stage in CV3. That piece of s@#t f@#kin' mother lovin'... 'scuse my profanity but you get the idea. Point being I hated it for a looooong time. Then I beat it and did it over and over again so as to master beating it. Now it doesn't nearly give me much trouble as i've developed strategies in order to succeed.

Yeah, I know what you mean, that Doppelganger is hard as shit too, even switching characters doesnt work, because he switchs his form too to match your choice instantly.
Its a shame that they dont created a "real" doppel like that in any metroidvania.

OH HOT DAMN INFINITE CORRIDOR I HOPE YOU GET MOLESTED AND VIOLATED BY FLAMING CACTUS THINGS IN FRONT OF FAT HAIRY MEN.

...hope that clears things up. I could tolerate and even like much of Curse of Darkness. But that area is unforgivable. I could hop on one leg from Anchorage to Fairbanks in the dead of winter before I'd finished that stage. And still have less brain damage than it inflicts. The music is the lowest point of Yamane's career, the level design somehow makes the rest of the game look fucking brilliant, and all that tedium and monotony all builds up to a barely adequate boss and a contrived plot device to remove Trevor from the story.

WORST.
STAGE.
EVER.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

I guess stage 3 from The Adventure because of how stressful it is due to the clunky way Christopher jumps. Luckily, I managed to beat it yesterday.

Ah yes... I remember this stage. Spikes, spikes, spikes... EVERYWHERE! They first come at you from above, then from below and to add insult to injury (literally) they come at you from behind while you try and get away. Dracula must have really hated Christopher for some obscure reason.

Okay, I think tha everyone knows that by now, but if you input "NOMIS..." as your name in Chronicles or X68000, you start always with only 1 point of health (HP). If you do that certainly it will be frustrating lol
I discovered it yesterday in a youtube comment that didnt revealed what this code does, I only discovered what it does when I died only by touching a Black Panther/Jaguar/Dog and thought "What? I dont remember that I've lost that much of health, I dont even remember of touching a enemy!" and then I remembered about the code xD

Thanks?

I often attempt to envision what those pitch-black pitfall rooms from Lament of Innocence would be like if they actually penalized you for falling.

For what? The code? You're welcome.

I dont have seen this pitfalls, if they dont hurt or kill you, then what they do?

It was sarcasm. If you don't find the level I mentioned challenging enough, you're not obligated to flaunt that opinion and suggest an instant death code.

And falling into said pitfalls just places you back to the entrance of the room.

Oh thats it then? Sarcasm isnt obvious every time on the interwebz, since we cant see other people faces or hear their voice. xD
But yeah, this code turns a hard game into a nightmare, but if you survive this nightmare you turns into a pro. ;D

I have a bad track record with the Clock Tower stages, but in particular, the one in Castlevania Chronicles. If it's not enough that the stage is one of the most grueling in the game, the boss is a really fast moving werewolf. That's just what I want when my thumbs are tired from all that platforming. To this day I haven't progressed past that stage.
He's back! The man behind the mask!
