Edit: Happy April Fools, if anyone had quoted this post or selected the text, they would discover a hidden message at the end hahaha

A interviewer asked IGA if he would make a 1999 game if Konami invited him to do it and he said yes! Also he said again about unused things like the Candle Skeleton and Alucard's room, even hinting at a time traveler appearing at 1999.

More details can be found on the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jRkU6uH4f0

I don't believe it! I thought he wouldn't reconsider or even think about this anymore, it seems that we can expect it to happen someday after all.  :o

What your thoughts?

Happy April 1st

I always knew that if offered he would do the game, IGA seems like a all around humble guy who would not let something get in the way of making a game his fans would love to see.

The problem has always been whether Konami being how they are these days would ever even give him a shot whether it be in the near future or very distant one since while IGA certainly cares for the series to a large degree Konami certainly does not IMO.

So while its nice to see him express his willingness I can't help but not feel the least bit enthused since this is completely out of IGA's hands and instead is in a hands of a company that is currently pretty detested by its fans for its current business practices and neglect of their more popular series like Castlevania and Silent Hill.

IGA might be willing but Konami will not yield. I won't raise my hopes for this.

Wow, IGA's quite willing to let past differences aside with Konami just so he can work on another Castlevania.  Quite admirable.
Although it would indeed suck if the 1999 game ended up as mobile only.

the difference between IGA and Inafune is IGA left on good terms with Konami. He made them some good money, then decided to go on to other things. there was no bitterness. Meanwhile, Inafune didnt leave, he was forced to quit in that very japanese way of firing people. he had burned them too many times to get his way, (like going overbudget on prototypes to force the suits to greenlight it to recoup losses) and then badmouthed the entire japanese industry in that interview.

Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.
